1993 BMW K1100LT I am selling this bike on behalf of a friend who recently passed away. He was the original owner of this bike and was meticulous about maintaining all of his motorcycles, but because he is no longer with us there may be some information that I simply cannot provide. I know he did not ride this bike for probably close to a year, although he did keep it on a charger and started it every week. I have ridden it recently and it runs strong with no major issues. That being said, here we go: This bike may seem like it has a lot of miles, but it you are a BMW lover you know that this bike is just getting good & broken in! There is plenty of tread on the tires so you can plan on riding her home. It has a custom Corbin saddle, two sets of hard saddlebags, and a factory trunk, so you'll be set for your next long trip. The adjustable windshield and throttle lock will help ensure comfortable travels as well. You will also be receiving all of the related accessories that my friend amassed for this bike, including a cover, manuals, heated vest, tank bag, etc. It has some scratches on the right saddlebag, front fender and trunk where the bike fell over in the garage, which have been retouched with factory color-matched paint. The radio cover plate has been modified with hinges. The seat has a little rubbed area on the right side. The brake rotors make a little noise when the bike is rolled around (they are floating rotors with a little freeplay) but they don't seem to make any noise when the bike is going down the road, and the brakes function properly. The bike has an alarm, but we can't find the fob for it. It doesn't affect the ignition, so right now when you start the bike you just have to tolerate the alarm for about 60 second before it shuts itself off. It appears to be a simple Gorilla alarm, so you can either contact Gorilla for a replacement fob or disable the alarm system. We'll make one last effort to track down the fob before the bike is sold. They are extremely thorough up until he got sick, detailing every service or maintenance task performed. I know additional recent services have been performed that aren't reflected because I actually witnessed it being serviced about 6 months ago, but this still gives you a very solid history on the bike. Also, I disconnected the security system so the new owner doesn't have to worry about dealing with that, and I found a very nice tool kit that goes with the bike as well.
