Vehicle Detail

This is a No Reserve auction! "Sandy" is a 1968 Porsche 912 that has been well maintained. Some points that the pictures do not represent are that the car has a 5 spd. manual transaxle, electric locks were fitted several years ago along with keyless entry and an integrated alarm system, the Blaupunkt Radio has a docking port for mp3 or i pod, Weltmeister front and rear sway bars were added in 2006, at that time a front strut tower brace was also added. As far as rust, the battery box area is free as it was professionally repaired many years ago, basically the only existing rust was photographed and lies at the leading edge of the front doors. The engine underwent a total rebuild in 2006 and now has approximately 10,000 miles on it. When the engine work was done a larger oil cooler and full flow oil filter were installed to keep the engine running longer. Check the included invoice to see the level and quality of the overhaul. Other modifications that occurred before the rebuild was the installation of the Weber carburetor set. The car was described as tan in the eBay listing, in reality, Butterscotch, is a more appropriate description of the exterior color, which Porsche describes as Sand Beige. The car is ready to drive home. It may be viewed in Lawrence Kansas by appointment. If you have specific questions please email and I will try to answer. Many of the emails from my previous listing have made mention of the rust that is showing in front of the doors. I have shown these areas because they exist; however they are not indicative of the rest of the car. As I mentioned earlier the battery box rust was repaired years ago before I purchased the vehicle and the rest of the under carriage is in good shape. A local buyer has offered me an amount just less than my starting bid, I think that the car is worth more. Have it inspected or come see it, but don't wait, I believe it is going to sell this time! This is a NO RESERVE auction!
