Up for sale is a 1959 GMC ½ ton longbed fleetside pickup truck. It is an unmolested barn find. I purchased this truck from an 86 year old man in Loogootee, IN. He was not the original owner but he purchased the truck on March 2, 1966. I have attached a scan of the original title.(The scan would not download on this listing) The truck was bought new from T.A. Brouillette and Son GMC in Vincennes Indiana. They were the oldest continually operating GMC dealer in the nation. The truck is very original and has a 270 cubic inch straight six engine with a three speed on the column. It is very straight it has rust on the tops of the fenders where they all rusted but it was patched by the previous owner. I would either purchase new fenders which are available or just weld in patch panels. The only thing the truck needs is the return spring on the brake pedal. When you apply the brake you have to pull it back slightly with your foot so the brake lights don’t stay on. You could drive this home if you want it runs very good. I originally purchased the truck to restore and keep but I have too many vehicles and unfinished projects.
