This is a VERY low hour 1982 SUZUKI RM465. It is nearly stock, as came from the factory. I bought this bike about 6 month's ago from a friend. He bought it from one of our high school buddies dad, where it had sat untouched for 17 years, who in turn had bought it from another one of our high school buddies dad, the original owner. The signed off clear CALIFORNIA title is still in the original owners name. The original purchase date is 10/25/83. When I bought it, it still had the warning and caution stickers but they blew off on the first wash. Upon receiving the bike, I put on new tires, Bridgestone 80/100 21 51M front and 110/100 18064M rear, tubes, fork seals, fork oil, tank strap, reservoir strap, changed the gear oil, air filter, chain and chain guide buffer. The previous owner had installed a spacer between the carb and cylinder. Everything else is stock and in great condition. The rear shock is not leaking at all but seems a little soft, but then, I weigh anywhere from 240-250, butt nek'id :-D. The one thing I don't like about the bike is that it is a very hard starter when cold. It usually lights on the 2nd or 3rd kick, but if it doesn't, it's a b****. Once warm, it's fine. It may be a jetting issue, trait of the bike, the added on spacer, me doing something wrong, I don't know. Once running, everything works great. I have a total of 5 rides on it since I bought it, 1 night riding session at Milestone Park in Riverside, Ca, 2 CALVMX races at Glen Helen, Ca. and 2 CALVMX races at Perris, Ca., that's it. I'm moving to Oregon by August and it needs to go. The serial # on the case is RM465-104470, the VIN Plate # is JS1RM11A8C2101685 RM465 Z, manufacture date is 12/81.
