2001 Ford Escape XLS This SUV has no issues, runs well and everything works as it should except for one exception... The A/C needs topped off with freon. Car has been well maintained since we purchased it in 2004. The original engine had a valve problem (low compression in one cylinder), so a new engine was installed at about 100k miles. Oil and filter changes have been done religiously at about 3000 mile intervals. Transmission has had several complete fluid changes. Other recent work includes... New fuel pump installed as preventive maintenance. All new belts. Front disc brake pads and rotors. Rear brake lining and drums. New battery 2/27/2010 Vehicle has a valid NJ inspection good until November, 2011. It is in excellent condition, not like new, and does have a couple of pebble dings or small scratches, typical for it's age. It is currently garaged but is available for inspection by appointment.
