Thank you! 1966 JAGUAR MARK X SEDAN This Jaguar maybe a piece of history as it is said to have been owned by the actor Alan Young who played Wilbur in the TV series Mr. Ed. I bought this Jaguar from a gentleman out of Waleska, Georgia. I was told that it came from a museum in Massachusetts. I did learn that it was once owned by a serious collector here in Lexington, Kentucky back in the seventies. It was still its original color which Jaguar simply called Dark Blue. The car currently shows 94000 miles which is probably correct. The engine is matching numbers and it does turn over. The body is in good condition but as you can see it is painted a dreadful color. I think they were trying to match Cotswold Blue but missed badly. There are some chips in the paint. There is no rust thru that I can see. There is some plastic in the left front rocker panel at the front fender, some rust bubbles on the left front door likewise but barely seen rust bubbles on the two right side doors. Please look at the pictures. There looks like some rust in the drivers front floor pan. The interior is presentable. The wood veneer will need attention.. I do not have any books or the tool kit but the correct spare is with the car. I will be happy to answer questions and I have set a very low reserve to try to recover at least part of my investment. Mark X’s are getting harder to find and this one is worth restoring. This Mark X is being sold on a Georgia bill of sale. Thanks for looking.
