I am an Ivy League graduate. I am in my mid-30s. I am a serious fellow, and I've been on the national and local TV news giving unpaid and unsolicited financial market commentary; also been in major national newspapers and magazines doing the same. Most recently, I was quoted in AARP magazine and on CNN. There is nothing being hidden about this car, as so many people do. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 12 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about the car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I go out of my way by shooting photos not just of every imaginable angle, but also in multiple lighting conditions and I did a long video to show as many details as possible -- by doing this you don't have to rely on a seller's "interpretation" of characteristics of the car, but instead you can draw your own conclusions from what you see. I also go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. I work hard to make sure I get specific positive feedback comments; I don't take it lightly, and it means a tremendous amount to me, though it's been a long time since I've had something on eBay (other than the truck and Porsche which I put on last week). I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the Microbus without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)!Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and video as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strongly recommends the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and letting the photos do the talking, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. I have been registered on eBay for 12 years and have 100% positive feedback. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, and I will answer promptly, or you can call me at (Five-Six-One) Three-76-Two-Two-Seven-Nine. I write the telephone number like that to avoid getting computer-generated marketing calls. AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person or bank wire only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is FREE. There is a storage charge of $350/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. Someone asked me whether I offer a warranty. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of personal philosophy -- this VW Bus is As Is with no warranty. You get the VW as pictured, captured in the video, and described, a clean a clear Florida title, and 2 keys.My videos and extra photos aren't finished uploading yet (they'll take hours), so please check back later for an auction revision...add this VW Bus to your eBay Watch List and then check back in a day or so and I'll have the videos and extra photos posted. On Jun-03-11 at 10:00:24 PDT, seller added the following information: The following slideshow automatically displays only the first 100 of the approximately 500 available pictures. To view the remainder of them, and to be able to zoom in, etc., right-click near the bottom of slideshow window where it says "View all" and select "Open in new window" or "Open in new tab." That will keep this auction page open while you are viewing the pictures in a separate web browser window or tab: On Jun-03-11 at 14:08:26 PDT, seller added the following information: This VW Bus obviously needs body work, and although the remaining paint looks OK from a distance...when you get nearer, you can see many drips, swirls, pimples, blemishes and imperfections all over...the entire Kombi should be repainted when the body work is done. The rear hatch latch that's missing in the photos is in the glove compartment. The replacement for the horizontal piece between the rear hatch and the engine cover that's currently rusted in the rear as you can see in the photos that has a latch striker is included...I am not sure if you can see that well in in the replacement metal photos. Zoom into that photo to better identify what those replacement metal parts are, there's a rocker panel, rear corners, etc.On Jun-04-11 at 14:59:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I've created the following 12-minute video to demonstrate the Microbus. It's important to watch the entire movie because it has important information in it germane to the auction. The video was actually 25 minutes long and had more driving in but the latter 13 minute portion became corrupted so I will have to see if I can go back to the original clips and recover it within the next few days. If I can recover the lost portion I will post "Part II" of the video below this video in an auction description revision. If I can't and you have to rely on just this video, it was just more driving which is nice to see and hear but not critical. On Jun-04-11 at 15:16:04 PDT, seller added the following information: The following two lines below in RED copy and pasted from the beginning of the auction description above DO NOT refer to this VW Bus...they were left over from an old auction. Ignore them. They are an error. I don't have the original owner's manual for this bus/stereo, and the auction doesn't include a Sony AM/FM/CD or CD Changer..Original Owner's Manual Included & Owner's Manuals for StereoAftermarket Sony AM/FM/CD Player with CD Changer in Boot______________________________________________ On Jun-04-11 at 21:55:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is "Part II" of the video below. This video shows more driving and shifting and braking than the video above. This video starts exactly where the video above ends, so it is a precise continuation of the video above.
