I always wanted one of these cars ever since I saw the old Get Smart TV shows as a kid, and finally found a good one. The prior owner had it for years and years, and there is a stack of receipts, photos, restoration records , repairs etc going back over 10 years that goes with this car. 1964 Series IV Alpine, "midnight blue" with original wire wheels and original 1595cc engine. It was restored 10 years ago. Engine rebuild at about 61K. Ready to drive away and enjoy this summer! Work done: Professional bodywork, including new metal sills and new metal quarter panels Brand new interior carpet, seat covers, and panels New soft top in great condition Roll bar and shoulder seatbelts for safety ( and SCCA Racing if you want ) Engine completely rebuilt Weber DGV 32/36 carburetor replacing original Solex All stainless steel exhaust Re-cored/refurbished radiator 60A alternator to replace generator Wilwood brake master cylinder, all new brake lines, new slave cylinders for rear brakes Electric fuel pump Later Series IV/V all-synchromesh transmission Pirelli tires After spending awhile driving it, I realized that it was just not what I always wanted after all ( still a great looking car but I am not the British sports car type of owner ) , and I will be sticking to the 1950's era American Cars that I have and cruising in them instead. It is a driver, not a show car although it still looks great. You can keep it as is, and drive it anywhere, or tinker/restore as a show car as you go. As I said, over the past dozen years everything has been replaced on this car. Some things need to be redone again, like the front and rear bumpers ( you can rechrome them or buy reproductions and install them ) and a new dash pad since there is a crack.
