Vehicle Detail

Up for your review and consideration is a very nice loaded original driver, the car has had 3 owners. I am selling the vehicle for my neighbor, for I have a vast background in wheels. Please inquire with me regarding the vehicle, I will do my best to provide factual information; Please contact me at 210-782-4013. I believe this car is a 3 rating out of 5. It has all of the factory options A/C, power everything to the positraction rear diff, factory sunroof, no 8 track just am/fm. Here are the negatives I am aware of; an exhaust leak on driver side header, carb leaking at fuel inlet, headlight doors will not close possibly vacuum leak? Some rust on rear lower driver side roof cover please view photo also minimal amount of rust spots here and there - this Texas ride is not rusted out, been under it and it is solid! The car appears original paint and pin stripe, in need of a buff. The paint, body and interior are in very good condition considering mileage and age; nonetheless, an original solid-smooth driver. I would like to mention that I have just found out some facts about this car. It is a real factory black diamond, also it is a moon roof not sun roof. I have listed more photo's. The moon roof is mirror tinted glass matching the chrome trim. This car has a lot of the factory options except the locking hood handle (anti-theft alarm), adjustable lumbar in driver seat (no switches on the left side of drivers seat), early anti lock brakes(no words on brake pedal) and again no 8 track Just am/fm. There might be more option that I do not know about like the brakes and the lumbar. They were not on the list of factory options. It has all the others in the list. Please ask about any other and I will check. The fabric top on the car looks like snake skin and is in great shape, still soft and pliable. All the trim on this car is in perfect shape (including the black plastic inserts in the side moulding). Tire's are very good the car runs and drive very smooth. It can be driven away or on to a transport trailer. The carb is in need of replacement it leaks a very small amount fuel at the fuel line inlet. The body of the carb was cracked and has been repaired with JB weld. It will need to be replaced. It is a old car and needs some attention. As far as the rust goes the photo's are the worst of it...I hope this helps my cell again is 210-782-4013 If I do not answer please try back. Thank you -Bob The best way for transport is uship.com they are a eBay company. I have moved alot of wheels accross the states and this is the cheapest and best way. Again Uship.com for transport..... Here are the Factory facts about these rare mark 4's: 1976 Continental Mark IV - Lincoln's personal luxury coupe rode a 120.4 inch wheelbase and it's classic styling changed little this year. New trims and options were available and the standard equipment list was altered. Most noteworthy though, was the addition of four Designer Series models, each named for a famousfashion designer:Bill Blass, Cartier, Hubert de Givenchy, and Emillio Pucci. Appearence was similar to 1975, including the expected concealed headlamps. Mark's traditional radiatot style, classic look grille was rather narrow, made up of thin verticle bars, with a heavy upper header bar that extended down along the grille sides. It's resemblance to Rolls Royce was no accident. Above the grille was a bright Contenintal star stand up hood ornament. Combination wraparound parking and turn signal lamps were inset in leading edges of front facing fenders. The padded halo vinyl roof had color keyed surround moldings, with vinyl clad color keyed rear window molding. Tiny oval opera windows to the rear of the quarter in the wide reaer pillar, held Continental star ornaments. Identification consisted of Contoinental block letters and script, as well as Mark IV block letters and plaque. Doors displayed the buyer's initials. Bright rocker panel moldings and extensions were included. The simulated spare tire had Continental lettering around the upper perimeter. Horizontal wrap around tail lamps stood just above the bumper. Inside were standard Twin Comfort Lounge Seats in cloth and vinyl. Mark had the same 460 cid (7.5-litre) V-8 as Continental, with standard 2.75:1 rear axle ratio. A Traction-Lok different was availble , as was a new engine block heater. A number of formerly standard items made optional, including an AM/FM stereo radio, power door locks, power declid release, tilt steering column, speed control, paint stripes, and apperance protection group. There were four new optional luxury group interiors: gold/cream, red/rose, light jade/dark jade, and jade/white. Other new colors included dark jade (with the Versailles option), gold, and dove grey. Standard body colors were: black, dove grey, dark red, dark blue metallic, light blue, dark jade metallic, dark brown mettallic, cream, tan, and white. Thirteen additional colors were optional. Turning to the Designer Series, the Cartier had dove gray body paint and a Valino grain landau vinyl roof; red and white paint/tape stripes; dove gray bodyside moldings; and Twin Comfort Lounge Seats in either Dove Gray Versailles cloth or gray leather seating surfaces. Opera windows carried the golden Cartier signature. Bill Blass had a blue metallic body, cream Normande grain landau vinyl roof, cream and gold paint/tape stripes, and either cream or dark blue bodyside moldings. Twin Comfort Seats were either blue madjestic cloth or blue leather, with cream accent straps and buttons. Givenchy Marks displayed aqua blue (turquoise) Diamond Fire body paint, with white Normande grain landau vinyl roof, black and white paint/tape stripes and white or aqua blue bodyside moldings. Twin Comfort Seats wore aqua blue velour cloth or aqua blue leather. Dark red Moondust (burgundy) body paint went on the Pucci, which also had a silver Normande grain landau vinyl roof, silver and lipstick red custome paint/tape stripes, and red or silver bodyside moldings. Twin comfort seats carried dark red majestic cloth. All four Designer editions had forged alluminum wheels. All had the designers signature on the opera window, and on a 22K gold plate on the instrument panel which also carried the owner's name. There are reports of the gold plate being replaced by a plastic plate. I.D. DATA: Lincoln's 11 symbol Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stamped on a metal tab fastened to the instrument panel, visible through the windshield.
