THE LAST CAR FROM MY COLLECTION I SOLD ON EBAY ENDED WITH NO BIDDERS ON A SUNDAY EVE, BUT AFTER THE AUCTION ENDED I GET ABOUT 10 E-MAILS OF PEOPLE WANTING TO BUY IT SO IT WAS SOLD THE FOLLOWING DAY ON MONDAY TO THE FIRST ONE ON THAT LIST. This is the third car to be sold from my collection it is time to let some one else enjoy this car as much as I have. Here is a 1959 Chrysler Windsor 4 door sedan, it is a 4 dr sedan with a "383" the first generation a little different it has a wide intake and this one as well has had a complete valve job again to run on unleaded gas, and does not use any oil at all, it is a 2 bl, with power steering and power brakes, no air conditioning. It has nearly new Coker wide whites all the way around with under a 1,000 miles on them. The mileage is of course is 138,396 miles and not the 38,396 as shown above ebay doesnt give you enough room to put up 138,396 in the listing but a little over 2,000 miles a year is still really low. The car has a clear title meaning it is in my name and will be signed off in my name and not like some titles on ebay have been jumped which means. Signed by the owner a couple of sales back and not really in the currant sellers name. All the cars I am selling from my collection are solely in my name. It has a push button transmission, I bought the car for my collection in 2006 about 5 yrs ago. It has cost me less then $200.00 in repairs and maintance if 5 yrs. The transmission works fine, but the push button pod on the dash would lock up with out warning and if you were in Nuetrel you werent getting home any time soon, you would have to take the pod off of the dash and manually get it into it to change gears. I got to be pretty good at that, but after about 2 times it wasnt funny any more. So one nite I was surfing the 59 Chrysler pages on ebay and a seller was selling a complete NOS push button system for about a $100.00 buy it now price. Needless to say I bought right away and a friend and I installed it. And it works fine other then say your in nuetral and you want to go in reverse, you have to tap low and then reverse and then it goes in reverse the same with drive you need to just tap low and then drive and your fine. It is not in the transmission. But those push button pods are little tempromental with age as they are shifted via mini cables inside the pod. This one has a new windsheild as well with no broken glass any where at all. All gauges work and as well as the heater and the radio. And it now has original fiber glass factory style rear fender skirts on it. This car is a pretty amazing old car in that it can set for 2 or 3 months and always starts on the second or third pump of the gas pedal . The only small piece of trim that is missing a very small piece on the drivers side of the rear window again easily found eBay I will have showen that in my pictures. The wipers work fine and well as the radio and all dash gauges. The interior needs nothing as it was all replaced yrs ago Seats, head liner, carpets the door panels are okay and is in very nice shape in my opinion. It has a padded dash and some one did a pretty good job replacing it when the interior was done some years ago. The interior color is a little bit darker blue the baby blue out side, the car has always been a baby blue color so, no werid color change from the original color. It was repainted a few decades ago it looks like, and still holds a good shine after polishing. There was a dent in the drivers side front of the front fender from a fender bender decades ago, no other dents in the car that I can see and the old bondo is cracking a little in spots on that spot on the drivers side front of the front fender. The second to the last picture is of that The car is a original south west with not any rust, other then then inside the trunk area and it is pretty rusted and some rust through here and there inside the trunk floor, but no where else on the car. Two good photos shown, Now that was only caused from a poor trunk seal that deterorated over the yrs and the seal never replaced and when I bought the car it had rubber mat in it and that also held mositure in and just made the problem worse, and the seal has since been replaced but the rust damage is already done there is a seller on ebay that sells a replacement trunk pan for about $100.00 if memory serves me right. These late 50's and 60's mopars were well noted for rust out every where if from the rust belt parts of the country, and none of them servived from those areas this has always been a New Mexico car, so there is no rust out any where on this car at all other then the trunk area as shown because of a bad trunk seal that was not replaced untill it was to late. It has new dual exhuast, and air shocks. And has a super heavy duty custom made trailer hitch for this car only, it looks like it could pull a house, any standard RV hitch works in the hole, that you will have to provide your self if you want to pull something with it, that is accessed behind the licencse plate area That looks to be about a 10,000 lb rated hitch it is built so well. It also one big huge transmisson cooler as well in front of the radiator like for maybe a 14,000 lb towing capicity. For towing the pervious owner had it stalled to a some point to pull a small matching vintage travel trailer from the same late 50's early 60's era It has a brake control under the dash and wireing to the back already installed. So a travel trailer could be pulled behind the car at a car show would really look neat. SO YOU REALLY DONT NEED TO PUT A LOT IN THIS CAR TO MAKE A REALLY NICE CRUZER OTHER THEN MAYBE GETTING IT PAINTED AGAIN, THE PAINT STILL HAS A GOOD SHINE TO IT WHEN YOU POLISH IT. .
