THIS WONDERFULLY SURVIVED EXAMPLE COMES READY TO ENJOY AND SHOWCASING ITS FACTORY COLOR COMBINATION!! SPECIFICATIONS Year 1966 Make Meteor Model Montcalm S/33 Convertible VIN 6B95C568037 Mileage 82,975 Engine 289Ci Cylinders V8 Transmission Automatic Title Clear Color Cardinal Red Interior Color Black DESCRIPTION The Mercury Meteor was produced in the United States through 1963 as a mid-sized model along side the Comet. In 1964, production continued at the Canadian plant and the nameplate continued as a full-size model in various styles through 1976. It would be best compared to the United States version called the Monterey S/55 which included highline options as found on Ford’s XL vehicles. This wonderfully original 1966 Mercury Meteor Montcalm S/33 convertible is finished in factory correct Cardinal Red over Black Deluxe trimmed interior. Options include original 1966 date-coded 289ci-2V V8 producing 200 horsepower, C4 automatic transmission, bucket seats, center console with floor mounted shifter, power steering, power brakes, power convertible top, original deluxe wheel covers, 1” whitewall tires, AM radio with front & rear speakers, emergency flasher, full interior courtesy lights including glove box, windshield washer system, front & rear seatbelts, and foot pedal trim! As a former display car showcased at the Branson Auto Museum here in Missouri, it comes straight from a climate-controlled environment where it has been beautifully cared for and detailed. This car’s odometer shows just 82,975 miles that is thought to be original, although not have enough supporting evidence to make an actual mileage claim. The interior is largely original(exception- new upper front seat upholstery) and shows just minor wear, the exterior has seen one repaint, and the convertible top is new. It shows very well with a straight body and sharp bright work! It comes complete with original spare, jack, tire changing tools, fitted trunk mat, factory buck tag still affixed to the firewall, and aluminum intake ID tag below the carburetor. This solid Meteor has seen a modest mechanical restoration that included a new gas tank, shocks, upper and lower control arm bushings, new radial tires, front end alignment, all new ignition system, battery with cables, alternator, start solenoid, rear exhaust with resonators, and more! The engine was rebuilt with new piston rings, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, timing gear, timing chain, and fresh gaskets when the odometer read 54,400 miles! The C4 transmission was rebuilt at 70,396 miles. Service records dating back to 1978, and original owner’s manual with original Canadian owner identification are included! It drives out extremely well and provides ample cruising performance and gas mileage from a small block V8! Please call with any questions or to schedule an appointment to view the car closer in person.
