A FINE EXAMPLE OF A TRUE AMERICAN CLASSIC VAN! Acquired 5 years ago from a person who found it owned by an old man in Idaho. He brought it to California with 99,985 miles to make it the ultimate Beach/Surf van. It now has 101,087 miles as I have driven it only around my California beach town on nice weather days. The re-paint is a 'textured' dated enamel look and not a trace of body work or corrosion, stock door locks and springed lock covers are all functional, all doors open & close nicely, Kelly-Springfield Arizonian tires and 14" Chrome wheels were installed new as soon as I bought it (1100 miles ago!) and the stock 13" white wheels, tires, and Falcon style hubcaps are included in the sale. It even has the 'optional' swing away removable jump seat on the passenger side. (Most vans of this era were set up for a single operator and driver only seat). The battery box is on the floor underneath the passenger seat. Both seats are quality fabric/vinyl covered and are comfortable. The 'miles' of heater hose is new, and the very efficient heater/defrost box has the original stickers on it. All gauges, lights, electrics are functional, starts and runs just fine, clutch, brakes, steering, and shifting are 'like new'. Serviced with full synthetic Amsoil 20/50 in motor, gear oil in trans, and differential, and the factory installed Holley carb has been overhauled. 170cid motor is s-l-o-w by todays standards, 1st gear was not synchronized until 1964 (so you must stop to get into 1st gear) but it is rolling nice in 3rd gear. Even the underside is super clean, front to rear. It needs nothing except it has a very slight exhaust leak attributed to a rough casting on the iron manifold inhibiting a perfect gasket seal - almost unnoticeable (except to purists like me). This motor likes to be warmed up to run well as have my other early '60s Fords with 170"s. The manual choke lever is on the front of the motor cover. The last few pictures show the RV style ugly windows I pulled out to replace with metal and never finished, including the planned interior insulation and finish. I simply have too many obligations and not enough time to finish this in style so I'm willing to pass it on to another lover of this style of vans that appreciates how well this one lived, mostly unmolested all these years.
