Vehicle Detail
Let me first start by saying .... that I think this looks like Stewart Little's Car. When my kids were little... they used to joke about Granny and Pappy having a car like Stewart:) I am selling this 1971 MGB ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE for my parents. They are at retirement age and are moving. The house they are moving to does not have a garage and is a block from the ocean. Equals bad things. Plus, they just don't drive it anymore. So, they figured they would let some other lovebirds enjoy it now. The car was purchased in July 1991 from GAST Classic Motorcars in Strasburg, PA. 17579. The address is 421 Hartman Bridge Road. Telephone for the dealership that they bought it from 717-687-9500. It has been religiously kept in the garage and NEVER driven on salted or bad weather roads. When they purchased the car, it had 86,350. Now it reads 113,978. So they have put 47,628 miles on it since 1991. Almost if not all SERVICE RECORDS ARE AVAILABLE! Registration ran out June 2010. It has a few problems (headlight and fuel pump) and they knew they were going to sell it anyway, so they did not fix the issues. They had already just put BRAND NEW TIRES .... that have only 10 miles on them! They had many WONDERFUL times driving this car through the mountains and to the shore. THEY LOVE THIS CAR. It has always been reliable! CAR FACTS: 4 CYLINDER 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION TWIN CARBS SPOKE WHEELS; INCLUDING THE SPARE CRANE XR700 IGNITION ORIGINAL TOOL KIT ORIGINAL BLAUPUNKT AM/FM RADIO (which needs puts back in because it was replaced with Pioneer) REMOVEABLE PIONEER RADIO/CASSETTE PLAYER ORIGINAL FLOOR MATS IN-LINE TWIN 6 VOLT BATTERIES CHANGED TO ONE 12 VOLT BATTERY NEW TIRE (10 MILES) The driver seat is good. The passenger seat has a rip on the seam, thus the seat cover THE COVERTIBLE TOP COVER IS GOOD INCLUDES 2 COVERS - PONNEAU COVER AND BOOT COVER - Both in Excellent Condition There are a few small knicks in the carpet (as shown in photos) but overall IS AMAZING CONDITION! PLEASE KNOW THAT THE CAR LOOKS AMAZING! There are NO DINGS, OR DENTS ANYWHERE. We didn't even clean it up before taking the photographs (which we should have done) so the inside and out could look even more SPIFFY! The car won't start. It has been sitting quite a long time since they drove it last. My father thinks (and has been told) it's the Fuel Pump. There is also an issue with the headlight. Otherwise the CAR IS IN SUPERB CONDITION! SORRY ABOUT THE GLARES! We couldn't push it out of the garage to take photos, so we had to use light. None of the glare marks or flash marks are present on the car. It's just the glaring from my camera and from the lighting. IT'S AN AMAZING CAR! AT AN INCREDIBLE STARTING PRICE! They sold their house here and have to be out in just a few months, thus the LOW STARTING BID! Please don't let that fool you! It's just an AWESOME BUY! If I didn't have children and had time to cruise... this car would have been mine! If you have any questions, you can direct them to my mother and fathers email dksvcs@pa.net Or you can call them at 717-532-9126. If for some reason you don't get an immediate answer, email me through Ebay and I will contact them. THANKS SO MUCH FOR LOOKING.... YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!On Oct-24-10 at 07:41:21 PDT, seller added the following information: please note..... I spelled the Cover Wrong... It's TONNEAU, not with a P as I have it spelled in the description. ALSO, MY FATHER ISN'T SURE IF THE PIONEER DECK WORKS OR NOT. I was unaware of that. He just called me this morning after looking at the listing and told me. ONE MORE THING... HE THOUGHT THAT I HAD BETTER SAY THAT THE INTERIOR IS O.K. Personally, from taking the photos, I thought it was in Amazing condition for being a 1971. I had mentioned the Knicks in the carpet... (shown in photo) and the Tear in the seam of the seat. Other than that, I didn't notice much else wrong. He just wants the buyer to know that it's NOT PERFECT. AS IS. THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON THE CAR. WE HAVE TOLD YOU EVERYTHING THAT WE POSSIBLY KNOW ABOUT THE CAR. I am sure you will be pleased, but my dad just wanted to make sure that I put AS IS. Thanks:)
