THE BODY IS SUPER STRAIGHT AND NICE AND REQUIRED LITTLE BODYWORK IN PREPERATION FOR PAINT. THE CAR IS FROM COLORADO AND HAS VIRTUALLY NO RUST. IT SPORTS A COWL INDUCTION HOOD ,JIM COOK WHALE TAIL,STREET SCENE AIR DAM AND HEADLAMP COVERS. THERE IS A PHOTO ON ONE OF THE LINKS SHOWING THE CAR WHEN IT WAS SILVER BEFORE IT WAS PAINTED TANGERINE. THE CAR HAS A 1984 CHEVROLET 350 4 bolt main AND 700R4 TRANSMISSION THAT WAS REMOVED FROM A GREAT RUNNING SUBURBAN. THE ENGINE AND TRANS WERE REMOVED,CLEANED AND REINSTALLED IN THE Z JUST EXACTLY AS THEY WERE REMOVED FROM THE SUBURBAN WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE CERAMIC COATED BLOCK HUGGER HEADERS,MSD IGNITION BOX AND 4 CORE CUSTOM V8 Z CONVERSION RADIATOR. THE MOTOR MOUNTS AND TRANNY MOUNTS RADIATOR AND DRIVESHAFT ARE FROM JTR RACING AND THE Z SHOPPE. THE CAR IS WELL BUILT AND CLEANLY BUILT WITH NO SHORT CUTS OR RIGGING. IT WAS WELL THOUGHT OUT AND WELL EXECUTED. THE CAR RUNS DRIVES SHIFTS AND HANDLES VERY WELL AND THE FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSIONS WERE COMPLETELY REBUILT AND ALL BUSHINGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE REAR END IS A DISC BRAKE UNIT REMOVED FROM A NEWER MODEL ZX WITH A 373 GEAR. THE CAR RUNS OFF A MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP BUT ALSO HAS A SWITCHED ELECTRIC PUMP IN CASE YOU WANT TO ADD A MONSTER MOTOR OR AN NOS SYSTEM. THE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE AND SPORTS NEW CARPET AS WELL AS REAL LEATHER UPHOLSTERY ON THE SEATS FROM KATZ SKIN. THE DOOR PANELS ARE VERY NICE AND IT HAS A FULL COMPLEMENT OF GAUGES AND A VERY NICE FACTORY LEATHER STEERING WHEEL. THE CUSTOM BUILT CONSOLE HOUSES THE FACTORY CAMARO SHIFTER THAT CONTROLS THE 700R4 TRANSMISSION. THE CAR WAS NOT ORIGINALLY EQUIPPED WITH AC BUT I HAVE A SYSTEM THAT COMES WITH THE CAR THAT WAS REMOVED FROM THE SAME YEAR Z THAT I BOUGHT TO PILLAGE PARTS FROM.THE DASH DOES HAVE A CRACK IN IT JUST LIKE THEY ALL SEEM TO HAVE AND NEEDS A CAP OR A REPLACEMENT. THE CENTERLINE WHEELS (ON THE CAR) HAVE NEW TIRES ON THEM AND SUIT THE CAR. ALL LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS AND WIPERS WORK AND IT DOES NOT NEED ANYTHING UNLESS YOU WANT TO ADD OR CHANGE THINGS TO SUIT YOURSELF. THE CAR DOES NOT REQUIRE CATYLETIC CONVERTERS DUE TO AGE AND IS NOT SO EQUIPPED. THE CAR COMES WITH A SET OF JIM COOK RACING FENDERS AND QUARTER PNELS THAT WERE REMOVED FROM ANOTHER Z PICTURED IN ONE OF THE LINK PHOTOS IN THIS AD. THE WIDE BODY KIT IS SHOWN ON ANOTHER ORANGE Z THAT I BOUGHT TO TAKE THE KIT OFF OF A FEW YEARS AGO IN ONE OF THE ABOVE LINKS.THE Z CAR THE WIDE BODY KIT CAME OFF OF WAS A NORTHERN CAR THAT HAD ROTTEN FLOORS AND COWL. THE WIDE BODY FENDERS ARE A BOLT ON ORDEAL BUT THE QUARTER PANEL SKINS HAVE TO BE GLASSED AND MOULDED TO INSTALL. PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME WHY I DID NOT USE THE WIDE BODY KIT AND THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE...IT TOOK 3 YEARS TO GET THE CAR TO THIS POINT BECAUSE I HAVE SO LITTLE TIME IN MY SCHEDULE TO WORK ON THE CAR. I JUST WANTED TO SEE IT PAINTED AND ONE COLOR BECAUSE I KNEW I WAS GOING TO SELL IT DUE TO TOO MANY PROJECTS AND NO TIME FOR ANY OF THEM. THIS CAR WAS THE CLOSEST TO BEING FINISHED/SELLABLE SO IT GETS THE FOR SALE SIGN FIRST BEFORE THE OTHER PROJECTS THAT ARE NOWHERE NEAR COMPLETION. MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. REPLACEMENT CENTER CAPS ARE AVAILABLE FROM CENTERLINE WHEELS. THE WHEELS ARE NICE AND STRAIGHT AND HAVE NO CURB RASH BUT COULD STAND TO BE POLISHED. THE WIDE BODY CENTERLINE WHEELS THAT ARE SHOWN ON ANOTHER CAR IN ONE OF THE LINKS HERE ARE 15x10 WITH 5 INCH BACK SPACING REAR AND 8.5 WITH A 3.5 INCH BACK SPACING FRONT AND CORRECT OFFSET FOR THE WIDE BODY KIT.THE TIRES ARE DRY ROTTED AND ONLY 2 TIRES ARE INCLUDED BUT THE CORRECT TIRE SIZES ARE 245-50-15 AND 255-50-15 THE CAR ALSO SPORTS FRONT AND REAR STRUT TOWER BRACES AND A CUSTOM ALUMINUM FUEL CELL LOCATED INSIDE THE HATCH,VENTED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR.THE EXHAUST IS CUSTOM BUILT USING CERAMIC BLOCK HUGGER HEADERS AN X PIPE AND MAGNAFLOW MUFFLERS AND 4 STAINLESS STEEL BOLOGNA CUT TIPS PROTRUDING UNDER THE CENTER REAR VALANCE.
