Vehicle Detail
1966 Chrysler Newport Convertible. Runs good, drives good, shifts good. Could be a daily or semi daily driver while restoring. Or drive as is. Power steering and brakes. Knee-knocker air conditioner not working, but does have somewhat of a charge. New radiator, alternator and voltage regulator last year. Tires have good tread, but driver's has a slipped belt. No spare. Radio does not work. Heater works. Power top motor works, but one of the lines leaks. I put the top up and down manually. Car shows 87xxx miles, I have had the car since "04, and have put about 5 thousand miles on it. I don't know if the odometer has been around more than what it show. I bought the car in Michigan, and know that it sat for about 7 years prior to the guy I bought it from bought it. Then, he had it about 8 years, which it sat the majority of the time also. I had the gas tank sealed and patched and a new sender put in when I bought it, but the guage has quit working, needs the ground cleaned again. Carb was rebuilt about 4 years ago. Brakes redone about then also. Single exhaust about 3 years old, with glasspack. Has a broken hangar, rattles sometimes. Floor in back on driver's side starting to get soft, rest of floor seems ok. Top is ok, has small tears at bottom, where it meets top of rear fenders. Fender skirt on driver's side needs pin re-welded, have skirt in trunk. Car has been painted sometime ago, before I bought it, could use another paint job. Car has some dings, chips in paint, dent in rear bumper, little rust. Windshield has crack on passenger side, shows in picture. Has some extra trim bits in trunk, boot for top, carb kit and master cylinder. I put a new master cylinder on when I first bought the car, and acquired another one at a swap meet for a spare. Interior shows wear, seats are ok. Dash has been painted at one time, paint is starting to flake off. Pad is ok. Car is fun to drive, gets a lot of looks and thumbs-ups, would ride very well with new left front tire. I wouldn't sell it, but am out of work, and married. Need money. I have tried to be as honest as I can, any other issues with the car I don't know about. Any questions, email and will answer as best I can. Car is sold as is, where is, no warranty of any kind. Car is listed for sale locally, and may be sold at any time.
