Vehicle Detail

HONDA CL77 305 SCRAMBLER We have the pleasure of offering for auction this very nice Honda CL77 Motorcycle. We recently purchased this Honda with a group of Hondas from a former owner of a Honda Dealership in Michigan. All of the Hondas were low mileage bikes in very nice condition. He had them in excellent storage for several years. The mileage on this CL77 is low (13,781 miles) that averages three hundred and twenty miles per year over the life of the motorcycle. This CL77 had been is storage for several years prior to us acquiring it. We installed a new battery, cleaned / checked the points, new spark plugs, fuel and it started and runs great. The Honda CL77 is one of the great bikes of the 1960's. If you were lucky enough to have been around then you know what I mean. This CL77 is in very nice condition and appears to have been restored. The sheet metal including the tank, fenders, and side covers are in excellent condition. They are not dented or dinged. The silver paint is also in very good condition. It appears this had been repainted as it looks so nice. There is virtually no damage to the paint except a couple of extremely small chips. The black chassis paint is also in very nice condition. Both the high and low beam head lamps work. The tail / brake lamps are currently not working. The horn works as does both the high beam and neutral indicator lamps. The speedometer works fine and judging from the overall condition of the CL77 we believe the mileage to be correct. The motor starts easily and runs excellent. The clutch works smoothly and the transmission shifts through all four gears as Honda intended. The front and rear brakes also work fine. The battery is new. The seat is in excellent condition as shown in the photos. This has also been restored with a new cover that looks great. The front and rear tires were new replacements, evidently at the time of restoration, with excellent tread. However, the rear tire is showing age cracking on the sidewalls from years of storage. Overall, the chrome appears bright with good luster. There is some scattered minor corrosion pits on some of the chrome. There are a couple of spots on the rear of the exhaust pipes and the muffler where the chrome was cleaned and shows some scratches from over cleaning (photo). A good polish should have the chrome looking even nicer. The tool kit is also included. We have no way of knowing the extent of what was done during the restoration. The bodywork / paint, tires and seat are visible and obvious. With the exception of replacing the rear tire we are not aware of anything this CL77 needs except a new owner to ride and enjoy it. We have provided many photos to provide the bidder with as much information as possible. We will provide a clear Michigan Title to the winning bidder. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. We have tried to be as thorough as possible with the description, but we may have missed something so please ask questions prior to your bidding. The reserve is well below the value of the bike. The reserve is set to sell to serious bidders. We try to provide all necessary information for you to place a confident bid. This is a used motorcycle and not new, therefore this is sold as-is/ where-as with no explicit or implied warranty. Please do not ask the reserve or to end the auction early. The reserve price is quite reasonable and we will let the auction runs its course as that is fair to everyone and the high bid will win. We welcome all serious bidders, however, if you are a first time bidder or have recent negative feedback for lack of payment please contact us prior to bidding or your bid will not be accepted. The bike can be reviewed at our business Monday thru Friday. We will be glad to answer any email questions. We can help with shipping from our location and recommend Federal Transport (www.funtransport.com) a division of Allied Van Lines @ 1-800-747-4100 ext 217 as no crating would be required. Also we will deliver to our Forward Air Terminal (www.forwardair.com) for $75. Their rates are very reasonable if you live near one of their terminals. In some cases we can also provide door to door shipping for some locations, please email to discuss specifics. Please do not contact us for shipping quotes, the shipping companies will provide the information to you upon your request. The shipping companies can be provided our zip code (48134) to obtain a shipping quote. We can also provide short term storage 30-60 days at no cost to the successful bidder after receipt of full payment. Full payment is due within three days of auction close. Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. This ruins the auction for other bidders and you will receive negative feedback. We accept Pay Pal, Money Orders and Cash In Person.
