1978 Suzuki PE 175

This is a 1978 SUZUKI PE-175. It is being re-listed due to a non-paying bidder. As a result, I will no longer accept any bidders with less than 5 positive feedback. There is no reserve. If the "buy it now" option is used, I required an immediate deposit of 300.00 to weed out the people that play games on Ebay by bidding with no intention of buying. This is another project that I just don't have time for. It starts after 3-4 kicks. Sometimes idles fine, other times not. The carburetor could probably stand to be cleaned. Clutch and transmission work fine, no noticeable problems. It has a new seat cover. It has FOX SHOCKS but they will most likely need rebuilding. The rest of the bike seems to be stock except for the fenders (still available from Bike Bandit) and the forks have air caps (I don't believe they came with air caps in '78). The air box is cracked at the bottom and the fuel tank has some pretty good hairline cracks (after market fuel tanks are available from Clarke Mfg.). The entire bike needs to be gone over but these were awesome trail bikes back in the day. Nearly every part you might need is still available. I just don't have the time so hopefully somebody will restore this bike to it's former glory. There is no title but I will provide a bill of sale if needed. It is being sold as-is. The bike is located in Palm Desert, Ca. Buyer is to pay for and arrange all shipping arrangements if needed. I can assist in delivery to the San Diego area, Vista - Carlsbad to be precise, at no charge, as I have relatives there who I can visit, provided the bike is paid for in full beforehand. You are also welcome to pick it up in person or to come by for inspection prior to bidding. A 300.00 deposit is to be paid through Paypal within 48 hours, or the bike will be re-listed and a non-paying bidder claim will be filed with Ebay, and the balance due in cash (or Paypal if you prefer) before the bike will be released.
