Vehicle Detail
1998 Volvo C70 Turbo Automatic RARE CAR, only 121,500 miles on this one! White on Tan (heated) leather power seats YV1NK5370WJ003905 Factory 17 inch alloy wheels with decent tires/tread (front end could use an alignment) Power sunroof and Rear Spoiler All power options, plus cruise control, tilt, dual zone climate control Onboard computer that logs mileage, trip odometer, temperature, etc. Factory in dash 3 disc changer with Bose 5.1 sound system NEVER ANY SIGN OF AN ACCIDENT! Clean, clear title The GOOD: Clean Volvo, runs very well, turbo spools cleanly with no noise, car shifts very well and is a pleasure to drive. The paint is glossy and overall in very good shape considering the year. The interior condition is also in good condition, I would put it at a 3.5 out of 5. The BAD: Driver's leather seat has definite wear, no large rips or tears, but the leather is tired and starting to wear through in some spots. A local place quoted me $175 to $200 to replace all the leather on this seat, matching as best they can. The center console has flaking of the wood trim that Volvo put over the plastic center console, it's hardly noticeable, but I try to point EVERYTHING out. The exterior is in overall good shape, but has a decent golf ball sized dent in the upper passenger corner of the hood, also there is a dime sized dent just below the spoiler on the rear deck lib and light scratches on the rear bumper. Besides that, there is some paint wear along the lip-line of the hood, but this is very minor. The UGLY: Currently the car has a check engine light on. I am working with a mechanic to resolve this issue. Over the past 4 months I have put $550 into engine ignition parts to try to remove this check engine light. A vacuum leak is what is suspected now. While the auction is running I will work to correct this check engine light the best I can. The TRACS module for the car that controls traction control sometimes has a light on the dash that will light up telling me the module isn't working. It does this 50% of the time. A rebuilt module can be had for $125, or less if you shop ebay/junkyards. It was never an issue to me. And lastly: Front windshield has a crack along the passenger side. A new windshield will eventually need to be installed. Other than that, that's about all I can tell you about this car. The turbo pulls HARD, the chassis is tight, no leaking fluids, and it's a fun car to drive. The issues listed above are all that I know that is wrong with the car. It is still drivable and ready to go TODAY. Please text or call me if you have any more questions about the car. I am willing to walk around the car with a video camera and send you the footage so you can take a virtual walk around the car in the event that you are many states away. THANKS! Joe 801-910-6789
