This is a running, driving, registered 1956 Lincoln Premiere 2 door Hardtop Coupe. It’s an original survivor, and the perfect candidate for a cosmetic restoration since all the pieces are there & in good condition (considering the car is 54 years old!). This was the car to own in it’s day! With low production numbers not many of these cars exist, and even less are in as good of shape as this beauty! This Lincoln Premiere was built in Los Angeles California, and stayed in the dry climate of southern California all it’s life. That explains the good condition and rust free body. It comes with clean California title, the original black plates that were on it, as well as a trunk full of extra Lincoln parts. Under the hood, the Lincoln boasts it’s original 368 Cu In V8 motor. Although incredibly powerful, it hums along beautifully and is very quiet. It’s like driving a cloud and floats along the road for an effortless driving experience! The car has fresh power brakes, rebuilt radiator, rebuilt front end, and the transmission gaskets have been replaced. Although I have the original carb & air filter, it runs perfectly on the new Edelbrock shown in the pictures. The power steering box has a small drip, and there is some play in the steering wheel, but does not interfere with the working elements of the car. The Lincoln’s black lacquer paint still shines up and all the trim and bright work on the car is either intact as seen, or I have it in a box. The one & only piece missing is the passenger door stainless, that’s it! Pinstripes seen were done by "Lenny" (Jay Leno's personal pinstriper) using silver and bronze lines (difficult to see in the pics). Tires have less than 500 miles on them and the hubcaps are in great condition. The passenger side window has a crack in the glass but I have the replacement piece in a frame ready to drop in. I also have a replacement tail light lens, just hadn’t put it on. The passenger side door has a dent in it as seen in the pics but can be pushed out and the door restored to it’s original condition. Inside, the interior is in good condition and has its original black & white color scheme. The dash is in such good condition it looks brand new with no wear or tear! All gauges work except for the speedometer and odometer. The levers to control air & heat slide and work nicely. This is an awesome car and deserves to be on the road! Low blue book is $6800, and high is $41,200, so please bid accordingly.
