Thank you! 1971 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK III Do you remember the July 1971 Motor Trend article “King of the Hill”? To quote John Lamm, a noted automotive journalist, “If you’ve got the American Dream, if you’ve made the pilgrimage to the Grand Canyon, Disneyland, Mt. Rushmore, or the Okefenokee swamp, if your goal is to move all the way up, then the Lincoln Continental Mark III and Cadillac Eldorado are the end of status street”. Top of the heap, king of the hill. I remembered the article and Lamm gave the Lincoln the nod. After all these years the Continental is very endearing. So it is with this beautiful ivy bronze moondust Mark III. The fit and finish of this Lincoln is breath taking. The chrome is dazzling. The glass is near perfect. Much has been fused over with this car. I am fortunate to know the previous owner who infact is a marquee judge at the very prestigious Keeneland Concours. This Lincoln has all new window motors and regulators, the cold A/C has been converted to 134A. New shocks, new springs, new exhaust (dual), new diamond back wide wide radials and much more. To say it runs perfect is not possible but close. The interior is totally original with barely a mark or blemish. To cap it off the Mark comes with an elite Marti report, all books, extra keys and service documentation. This just maybe one of the best near original Mark III’s available. A sure collector car, and a positive investment. You will not be disappointed.
