VW made these Multivans in 1990 and 1991 and they don't have the stove, fridge or sink. I like the Mutivan better now because all the camping equipment in the full campers is old and out dated now. Most people never use the stove and fridge anyway, and now there are so many great fridges on the market that look like an ice chest and they use less than one fourth the power of the old Westfalia fridges, and they can double as a freezer. Also, if you cook inside a Westfalia the smell takes forever to go away. Just set up your table and cook outside, you will be glad you did. Almost everytime I get a full camper, the stove, fridge, and sink look like new, because they never get used. What you do use is the bed, and the Multivan has a much bigger bed and can seat 7 people and has more storage space. Just throw your ice chest in and go. Anyway, what type of Westfalia you want is totally up to you, but from my experience, the Multivan is the way to go. I just got through spending over $4,000 and about 300 hours getting this Westfalia ready for sale. This is a very very nice Westy, just take a look at these pictures. I will add more pictures in the next couple of days, I just wanted to get this on the market as soon as possible, summer is here. This Westfalia is from here in San Diego California and has NO CANCER RUST, there was a tiny bit of surface rust at the bottom of the front and rear window corners, but minor and fairly normal in these areas. I just had a nice two stage paint job done, that's with a clearcoat. The paint was around $2000 so it's not a cheap job from one of those one day paint places and I think the quality fits this price of vehicle. Also, I"ve done alot of work with this body shop and he gives me a deal, so most people would pay around $3000 for this level of quality. The body rubber looks great and I replaced some smaller pieces and painted the door handles. I replaced the rear side markers lights, and I polished out the other lenses, so they all look fantastic. I cleaned and waxed the pop top and put new Westfalia decals on the front and rear. The wheels are the factory VW vanagon alloys that I polished out to a high shine and then painted the little windows with a metallic silver that I custom mixed. I think they look Great ! I have had over a hundred Westfalias and I really love these things, I really enjoy fixing these Westys up so they can have another life. I replaced the back carpet with a high quality commercial grade carpet that matches very well with the front. The front carpets are the original and were covered so they look great. I took the carpets out and professionally cleaned them and they look excellent. The seats are all nice and clean and look great, just check out those pictures ! The Motor and Transmission are in great shape and this Westy drives beautifully. I just checked the compression of the motor and I have 140 on the left front,141 on the left rear, 131 on the right front and 132 on the right rear.
