The sight of it's curvatious & shapely body has adorned more magazines than any car in history. It was produced by Unique Motorcars of Gadsden, Alabama. It was made in May of 1993 & has a mere 1900 miles from new. It is one of the earliest & most accurate of the small block Cobra Race Cars ever made. From it's potently built 302 motor to it's black side pipes & Halibrand knock-offs...this Cobra means business & runs fabulous ! The Shelby Cobra is the most saught after sports car from the early 1960's. There are over 200 companies that make some form of replica of this great icon. Most are not very accurate & 90% of these companies are in & out of business within a short period of time. This Cobra was made by the boys from Unique Motorcars from Gadsden Alabama. Established in 1976, the Weaver Brothers have been making replicas of all sorts & these Cobras since 1979, making them one of the most experienced groups in the Cobra replica business. Known for their pride of making "exact" copies of the originals, this 289 FIA Cobra is identical in all respects to the real $600K.race cars. While most manufacturers make the larger 427 models, this 289 FIA is the most reliable & user friendly when compared to the tempermental big blocks that tend to overheat & run badly. Having the right options, it's 302 motor has enough power to scare anyone that gets behind the wheel...no need for 427 cubes. It's nicely flaired body emulates the original car perfectly. The optional Black Roll Bar, Hood Scoop, Black Side Pipes & Halibrand Knock Off's make this car stand out. The Guardsman Blue finish is just about brand new shape other than a few chips on the driver's door, as noted in the photo shown. It also has 3" seat belts, wind wings, oil cooler w/stainless lines, tonneau cover, chrome fire extinguisher, front & rear bumper uprights & a cool Le Mans fuel filler cap. Having less than 2000 miles from new on this 17 year only Cobra, it is like getting a new car for about 1/2 of what a new one would cost today. Cool thing is it is titled as a 1964 Ford Cobra !!
