REMEMBER, THIS IS RUST-FREE, ARIZONA, ALL MATCHING NUMBERS, PROTECTO-PLATE 396/325 HP BIG BLOCK WITH POSI, PS, PB, AM-FM STEREO, NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND, NEARLY NEW DUAL EXAUST ALL AROUND, A NEW HEADLINER IN THE BOX, A NEAR PERFECT SPARE BUMPER IN THE TRUNK, A TILT STEERING COLUMN LAYING IN THE BACK, OH YES AND 100% RUST FREE!!!! THIS IS BRAND NEW FACTORY PAINT DONE BY A PAINTER WHO HAS HAD CARS IN THE WORLD OF WHEELS, ETC. This is A True BIG BLOCK 396 “IV” Code 325HP. 1968 Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe. It shows 34,345 miles and all the pedals and the rest of the car reflect that. I am the 3rd owner and when I received this 99% Rust-Free Mesa, AZ Original, but faded paint, Car, I knew I had something special and wanted to make her right. This is a FACTORY 396/325 IV block code car with FACTORY A/C (working, but only sometimes blows cool), Factory AM/FM Stereo Radio (works perfectly), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Posi traction-Limited-Slip Differential with the Factory Corvette Rally Rims too! The 2-seam Vinyl Top is Brand new (there was no rust, just baked in the AZ. heat), the paint is brand new to factory specs (I have pictures of the car in many phases while being painted I can send you. The car runs and drives like a dream with New brakes and dual exhaust all-around! The chrome and glass are EXCELLENT and I put all new RUBBERS all-around the car...Doors, Trunk, windows, etc. Pay close attention to the rust free floors and trunk in the pics and to the inside the front door hinge pics. With the car comes a spare near perfect rear bumper that had one little ding in it, but I found a mint one, so she is on the car. I HAVE LOCATED AND INCLUDED IN THE SALE A FACTORY 1968 TILT STEERING COLUMN THAT WAS PAINTED BLACK AT THE TIME THE CAR WAS PAINTED. There is a brand new headliner in a box ready for install. Okay, now what you will have to do to complete the car. The dash pad has two little cracks in her, but no big deal. The front seats need help and although the foam is pretty much there, the AZ sun got to the front seat. The kit from YEAR ONE comes with front AND rear, but I would replace both anyway and I believe that was 691.00, the carpet set is 130.00 and remember, I already paid for the headliner, so for roughly $820.00 you get all you need to really finish her up. You should be able to clean up the door panels real well, as they are solid. The decals for the air cleaner come with the car and so does the owner’s manual and a very SPECIAL PIECE OF PAPER: IT STATES THAT: Previous to delivery, this vehicle was originally placed in service by the factory and was delivered to the dealer with 3,328 miles on her when she was placed on the lot for sale at BROWN & HOEYE CHEVROLET. I even have the ORIGINAL LETTER sent to the owner, by the Service Manager on 30 days after purchase warning the owner (by name) of the unusual Dust and Heat encountered in AZ, to come in for service regularly. Very Cool! That letter is dated September 20, 1968. I also have purchased a tilt steering column for this car and it has been painted the black that the original is painted, but I did not install yet. I found that I want another Harley worse than keeping this car...you know how it goes. Can't own both. This is a turn-key car with bright green coolant and she is ready to go! I will consider partial exchanges of LARGE U.S. coin and Currecny collections and also 1878’s, Single Actions and old SW Top Breaks, but all must be PRE-1970 and I will consider others as well. I am a licensed. This is a great car and the paint job came out a hair under show and again, with the CORRECT Butternut Yellow. A great find!
