Vehicle Detail
I am relisting because the high bidder was not able to make shipping arrangements. This is a really solid, dependable little Chevy diesel 4x4 pickup. If you know anything about these trucks, you know that they are very popular, especially the little 4x4 trucks like this one. I just bought this truck not long ago and thanks to some major bills, I have to sell it. As you can see, this is a sharp looking truck and is in really good condition for a truck this age! It has had a professional spray-on bedliner applied to the inside of the bed AND to the floor of the cab all the way from the back of the seat to the front of the floorboards. (The seat was taken out for a thorough job!) The coating is in good condition and looks as though it has been applied fairly recently. It has a few of the usual shopping cart dings and dents here and there, but they are not very noticeable. The paint is in good shape except for a few small chips on the hood and the top of the cab and hood where the clear coat is coming off, but the base paint still seems solid in these areas. (I couldn’t get the peeling clearcoat to show up very well in the photos.) The front chrome bumper is pretty straight, but the rear bumper has been beat up a bit. The front grill looks pretty good, but has been repaired in a few places. The tailgate is in really nice shape with no dings or damage of any kind that I can see. The seat is firm and has a very nice seat cover, although I noticed that underneath of it, the original seat has a layer of carpeting applied over it, and beneath that, the original cover is quite worn. There is a tear in the headliner, but as you can see in the photo at the top of this listing (next to the gallery photo), you can not see this tear when the visor is up. Also, it does have a radio/CD player and some speakers behind the seat, but they all need to be hooked up. The engine starts right up, even on cold days and runs strong. The steering seems really tight, as does the 4-speed manual transmission. The 4-wheel drive unit works great, and yes, it does have hubs so you can take the front end out of 4-wheel drive to save wear on the front end and get even better mileage! This is a rare option I haven't seen on these before. The alternator light is on, but the alternator works great. It was taken to an alternator shop where they tested it and said the alternator was fine, but a little diode that has something to do with the alternator light was bad and if I didn't mind the light staying on, it was nothing to worry about. The water in the fuel light is also on. There is no water in the fuel, the electrical line going to the sensor in the bottom of the fuel filter is missing so it looks like it just needs to have a wire run over to it. From its skid plate over the transfer case and fuel tank, to its rear tow hitch and bullet-proof 2.2 liter diesel engine and 4-speed transmission, this little truck was meant to do some serious 4-wheeling and get great mileage doing it. This truck has 262,000 original miles on it, but I am told that they can go for more than double that if taken care of. The first thing I did when I bought this truck was change the engine oil, lubed all of the grease fittings, checked the oil in the transmission, transfer case, and both differentials so the truck is all ready to go. It recently had a complete brake job done so all of the brakes, rotors, and drums are in great condition. I don't know that much about these little trucks, but if you have any questions, just send me and e-mail and I'll do my best to answer them. It does come with a clear title.
