Vehicle Detail
This lot consists of a beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro super sport coupe, restored V8 hard top coupe. I have had this car since I was in 16 years old, I purchased this Camaro off of a police officer who at the time was going through a divorce and was forced to sell the car. The officer kept this car garage kept and for a period of about a years time I kept this outside with a full car cover running out to the car everytime it rained wiping it down, after that one year we moved and I have had this car in the garage ever since. Here is what we have, this is a 1969 Camaro Super Sport with a V8 350 cubic inch engine, automatic turbo glide transmission that has the shifter on the console not the collum. I am unsure as to the exact horse power rating of the car but I would say from my past research that it is in the high 200's or so. With power steering, power disc brakes, 8-track player, rally wheels, fire engine red exterior and black vinyl hard top and black leather interior. With dual exhaust, compression ratio of 9.5 to 1, flowmaster exhaust, headers, 10 bolt rear, however we are unsure to the rear gearings and added rear adjustable air shocks. The odometer reads 93,406 miles however when we did purchase this car the officer did say that he was almost certain the numbers did not match. The body is in very good almost excellent condition, with a few minor areas that might need a small paint touch up. The interior is in good condition, I do believe that there is a small seam tear in the side of the passenger side seat and the inside passenger door panel is ripped at the bottom as you can see in one of the photos below. This Camaro is fully inspected and over the past few years I have not driven this barely at all, but everytime I go to start it up it has no problems starting, I did notice sometimes I would have a small oil leak when the periods of time that I drove the car were long, so I assume that this would mean that at some point one would want to check the seals. The engine is not show quality as you can see in the photos below but I have taken this car to shows many years ago when I could enjoy it. I have detailed records of everything that I have done to the car, had done or was done in a large file for reference. The way that this Camaro is currently set up it is a great cruising car that certainly draws the eyes as one drives down the road. Feel free to ask any questions that you might have, at one point around 1999 I took this to the race track and someone had backed into the front end for which I had a new grill, SS embilum and hood put on covered by insurance. Please ask all questions before the last day of the auction so that I may have enough time to answer them to the best of my ability. We thank you for looking and our especial thanks to all those who bid! On Apr-25-10 at 08:23:55 PDT, seller added the following information: One thing that I am adding that I forgot, was that since I have owned this car is that the heater does not work, and from what I can remember I think this just needs a blower, however I have never had the need to use the heater and I very rarely ever drove the car in the very cold weather. Thanks so much!
