I'M SELLING MY TRUCK TO HELP SUPPORT MY FAMILY THROUGH THIS HARD TIME. THANK YOU... Here is my V8 S-10 project up for sale. Just had hernia surgery and need to pay some bills. It's a 1986 S-10 Blazer that had the 2.8 V6 & 5-speed stick. Motor is a 1994 GMC 5.7 w/ flat tappet cam & 1 piece rear main. Heads professionally remanufactured in Orlando by National Cylinder Head. Stock bore, aftermarket hypereutectic pistons approx 8.9:1 compression, crank polished, new bearings throughout & new oil pan. New double roller timing set, and new RV/ towing camshaft with about a .455" lift. Carb is professionally remanufactured Q-jet w/ electric choke. Distributor is new aftermarket HEI (small cap) w/ external coil to clear firewall. Has Hooker Headers heat-wrapped. Motor mounts are the 350 conversion mounts that allow the motor to be "slid" to the front or back for clearance. I have both a mechanical clutch fan and an electric fan to go with it. The motor retains the serpentine belt drive from 1994 w/ the A/C compressor. I do not have the A/C hoses but I think a 4.3, 305 or 350 set will fit. Other new stuff is B&M Floor shifter, Summit (generic) aluminum intake, high torque mini-starter, Corvette radiator, water pump, hoses, belt, ignition wires, electric fuel pump & regulator, fuel tank sending unit, steering shaft universal and heim joint needed to fabricate steering shaft. Has inexpensive set of triple gauges too. Book indicates that this truck came with either a 4:10 or 4:11 rear end. I have a later model 3:42 rear end that goes with the truck. Turbo 350 tranny is a junk yard unit. Truck needs to be completed. Motor has never been started. Factory drive shaft is too short, so I bought one that is probably too long. It will need to be shortened. The paint is Florida-sun faded. I think it is actually peeling off from the roof. No major rust I can remember, has some dents & scrapes. Interior is red vinyl. I do not have a door key. That's about it. The new parts listed above without the headers cost me $690. There's about $1200 in the motor including the head job. The headers are used and paid $175 or so. Extra rear end was $150. Almost everything is there to finish the project except a battery. These numbers are accurate, nothing is made up. My opening bid is just $400 and we'll see where it goes. Truck is available for pickup in Clermont, FL next to Lake Louisa State Park. Truck can be seen by appointment only since it's at a friend's home. I can deliver the truck for $1.75 per loaded mile from zip 34711 up to 60 miles one-way. I DO NOT have a flywheel, bellhousing or shifter for this transmission. The transmission is out of a mid to late 70's Chevy Monza with the factory V8 engine. I was rebuilt by Thunderbirds Parts and Restoration in Buffalo, NY. Thunderbirds has since been sold last I checked. This transmission has been on a shelf since it was rebuilt.
