Vehicle Detail
For auction: 1968 Mustang coupe. I bought the car as a project 5 months ago. Landlord changed his plans for my garage and I must sell my project car and all parts. Car had factory yellow paint with vinyl roof, car had been repainted "Bullit" green by a previous owner. Car is in good shape for a project. light surface rust around edges of vinyl roof and around the underbody. Frame rails, shock towers, suspension have no corrosion damage. Car had been in a front end fender bender. I threw away the wrinkled fenders and hood. I also removed the stock front suspension to install a performance kit from Summit Racing. Horns, headlights, front running lights and turn signal lights, etc. all intact and included with the sale. Car was originally an auto transmission, I was going to put in an original manual 3 speed (included in the sale). Drivers door is dented - needs new door skin and window glass. Windshield is broken and needs replacement. Car has tinted green glass. Vent window and quarter window assemblies assemblies are in great shape. Upholstery is in very good shape. Rear seats and passenger seats like new, drivers seat has a couple of repairable small cuts. Headliner and carpet are fine. Good gas tank, rock solid rear end. All 4 drum brakes look ok. Tires (including the spare) look old but have plenty of tread left. All the rare original stainless steel trim pieces are included and they are in remarkable shape. Car originally had factory AC, all internal pieces of the AC system such as the compressor are included. Pictures show exhaust tailpipes, I will leave those for the winning bidder. Sale also includes an intake manifold from a Ford 302 V8 with carburetor. Rear axle has been refreshed, I installed new rear shocks. I have 100 hours of labor in this restoration so far. In addition to the front end parts mentioned earlier, completing the project will require front fender inner aprons, radiator support and crossmember, strut rod braces, battery tray, grill and a front suspension rebuild kit. There is typical Mustang corrosion in the under seat rear floor extension panels - these will have to be replaced. Car is in Marietta Georgia, winning bidder gets a Georgia Bill of Sale. I will assist your auto shipper in loading car and all included parts. Good luck.
