Its no secret the the '76 models were Ford's best effort at upgrades while still keeping the dual fuel caps. With the large brake boosters now powering front disc brakes these Broncos were finally able to stop respectably. This was also the first year for the 'Y' style steering that helped mitigate the famous Bronco bump-steer. Automatic transmissions were also more readily available. These options really made for a better driving experience, thus the '76 models bring a premium. With all the advantages of the 1976 Bronco already, Fuel Injection and MANY other upgrades were added. This Bronco is extremely comfortable on the highway and very capable on the beach or the trail. The Midnight Blue Metallic paint looks great. It is an older repaint but presents well. It has been driven so there are some rock chips and imperfections. However, it still draws tons of compliments and has just enough wear for some guilt free enjoyment. The Buckaroo Hood has fully functional cold air induction and hydraulic lifts (all from Wild Horses). The panels are quite solid with professionally replaced floor pans. Panels line up well and the door shut easily too. Inside the interior has been completely replaced with a full Premium upholstery kit from Tom's Broncos. The door panels (front & rear) as well as the carpet were replaced at the same time. The dash pad and dash bezels were also replaced. The floor was insulated to keep out sound and engine heat. The result is a nice, comfortable and quiet driver. The factory instrument cluster was replaced with a Dakota Digital unit complete with tachometer. This unit keep you in touch with all the engine stats at a quick glance. To help out with that a full LCD readout from the Holley Fuel Injection system does the same with everything from engine temperature to the air/fuel mixture. The stereo system has been nicely upgraded with an Alpine 50x4 Amplifier, Focal front speakers and Infinity 6x9 rear speakers. The electrical system has been upgraded to handle the added upgrades like the Holley Fuel Injection, Heavy Duty Winch, Larger Stereo as well as the fully upgraded LED lighting system. The 302 runs excellent thanks to the Holley 'Super Sniper' Fuel Injection. This system makes cold starting issues a thing of the past. It also makes the most of the performance with state of the art air/fuel management. The fuel mileage is surprisingly good thanks to the efi. The exhaust is handled by Ceramic Coated Headers and a Magna-Flow 'Super Single' Exhaust System. To keep everything cool a HUGE radiator and Heavy Duty Fan Shroud were installed. The inner fenders were also trimmed and replaced with expanded metal for increased air flow. The engine runs cool and sounds great. The C4 automatic transmission is a welcome option, just put it in gear and forget it. Behind that is a rebuilt Dana 20 transfer case from Tom's Broncos. The rear driveshaft was also recently rebuilt. The Power Disc Brakes were recently serviced and feature slotted rotors. The lines were also upgraded to Stainless Steel. The suspension has been treated to a 3" James Duff Suspension lift to accommodate the larger 35" tires. This is a mild street kit with a nice ride. The bumpers are 'Impact Series' units that were fully powder-coated for long lasting good looks and protection. The front bumper houses a hidden 10k winch and the rear bumper has the heavy duty tire rack and trailer hitch provision. This is a great dual purpose Bronco. It has all the right equipment to be enjoyed daily as well as being fully capable on the beach or trail.
