This is a great find for Performance Minded Ford Fans. This Torino GT has been in the form that you see it here for many years, so those that are purists at heart, we understand how you feel - but not to fret, this one is a nice cross between what some would consider a race car and a very original Torino GT 429CJ car. Looking around the car, there are many original cues still in place. Original bench seat, original steering wheel, dash and gauges and even full door panels front and rear. The car has been tubbed and done well. There is a roll bar in place and some aftermarket gauges. The original 429CJ motor is long gone, but what you'll find for the heart of this beast is a 429 that has been stroked to 512 cubic inches. There is an automatic transmission behind that (TH-400) with a 3500 stall converter. This is a very streetable car and has logged road miles recently. No signs of overheating or bad manners, though it does sound angry at a stop light. Very nice exhaust system with electrically operated cut outs, for when it's time to open the exhaust up. All of the lights and gauges work. The headlights, taillights and turn signals work. It's a fully functioning street car that would be just as happy on the race track. It will pull both front wheels off of the ground. Photos to prove it! Very original body with older (original looking) paint and patina. Very solid car though, no rust issues have been identified and the underside is excellent.Great glass (windows roll up and down, no problem) and nice trim. Drag style wheels with DOT approved tires.
