Vehicle Detail

1955 Olds Super 88 2 door sedan. There was only about 11,950 Super 88 Sedans produced in 1955. This car started its life in California. The Rocket 324 engine has been completely rebuilt and has less than 500 miles on the rebuild. This car is a 20 footer, not a show car but would be an easy restoration or drive and enjoy as is. The car is equipped with factory power steering and power brakes that work well. There is some bubbling on the body (show in the pictures) and the bottom inside panel of the passenger door has rust through. The floors, frame and body braces on the underside of the car are very, very nice. The wide white wall radials have over 50% tread. When the engine was rebuilt and reinstalled, the bracket that holds the kick down linkage was lost. The linkage is in the trunk, so the bracket will need to be located or fabricated to make the transmission work properly. The interior is in fair condition. I recently purchased the car and don't know anymore than I have listed. The winning bidder is responsible for transport. A $500 deposit is required through PayPal at the close of the auction and full payment is expected within 7 days of auction close. Payment must be wire transfer, cash or cashier's check and the cashier's check MUST clear before the car leaves my possession. I do have a short video of the car on cold start up and running if you would like it texted or emailed. Thanks and good luck.On Aug-19-17 at 07:11:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about the reserve. All I will say is that the reserve is below NADA low retail for the car. As mentioned, it's a solid car, but a 20 footer. There are bubbles, paint shows wear and crazing. I don't want to downgrade, but I don't want bidders thinking it's a show car.
