I have a 2007 Nissan Xterra with 97,000 plus miles. It is a tank and has always been dependable. Never been in an accident. Recently it leaked transmission fluid into the coolant system, this is a known issue with Nissans around 95k, the radiator gets a leak and polluted the transmission fluid and vice versa. I caught it early and did not have any issues with the transmission but I am told that if the coolant gets in the Trans you may have to replace the trans but some say you just flush it out if it is not showing issues and it may be fine. I can say it shifted OK before I found the crap in the coolant system (but it’s your gamble) You could drive it for a minute to see it shift but any running will likely hurt the trans without cleaning it out first. I see too many opinions on this to have any relevant opinion. The body has some rust but no holes. It has a knife hole in the passenger door (thank my drunk friend). The driver side mirror is broken off but I have the mirror. Small dent in passenger fender. Has good tires and exhaust. 4.0 LT Engine with transfer case is worth around $2200 parted out alone from what I have read. Transfer case, windows, engine etc. are all fine. · Good buy for a mechanic flipping cars. · I have a new car and no time to get this ready for a fully functioning sale. · Only take cash, title is clear. Come and get it. NOTE: · This vehicle can be driven but this is not recommended · You can start it and hear it run but it will overheat eventually due to sludge in coolant system from trans fluid. · Engine is strong and has good compression this was tested in June 2017. · No coolant in the engine oil, runs smooth, all looks well.
