1979 Honda GL1000A Classic One Owner Survivor With Low Miles!Original Title and Bill of Sale and Pink Slip In Hand!Has not been run this year, will need new battery, carb clean and brake fluid changes to get her running like new! “A true collectors item that is mint and in showroom condition!” 1979 marked the end of the development of the GL1000. It is the last Goldwing to be powered by a one-liter engine. It has a four cylinder boxer engine with only 11,545 miles, It’s a four-stroke with 78 HP, a top speed of 121.8 mph, has overhead cams, is liquid cooled, a 5 speed with a shaft drive. Its dry weight is 604 lbs and weighs 657 lbs when gas is put in its 5.02 gallon tank and other fluids are added. It has a $700 top of the line Corbin saddle with matching blue piping and king & queen seats for comfortable all day riding. This bike has all original handle bar grips and gauges that look just like it came out of the showroom! It has only been stored in doors. It has a very sporty adjustable Windjammer fairing. It’s almost 100% stock except for the saddle, fairing and crash bars, which are easily returned to Stock. This bike came from the Kenny Ives collection at Burt Ives Honda, a 3rd generation dealership that recently closed. Kenny is one of the best Honda mechanics around and understood this was a great motorcycle and one of only three bikes he kept when he closed the dealership, the other one we auctioned off and it sold for $8,000.00 Kenny kept this Goldwing indoors and it is in gorgeous condition! At the time it sold for New For Only $3,264; today it has only risen in value. Today’s NADA # 1 value is $6,100! We just sold a Mint 1975 Goldwing for $8,000. So there is plenty of value for you to invest some sweat equity and have a great return on this investment quality bike! We have a huge backlog of restorations to do at the New England Motorcycle Museum so it is being sold as is, because we don’t have the time to rebuild the carburetors, if you want us to do it, we might be able to do it for you for $90 an hour plus parts. This bike is barely broken in but it needs new fluids, rebuilt carbs, fresh brakes and a new battery. This motorcycle can easily make it to 200,000 miles + ! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a rare classic at a small price and you can fix it as you go, building equity and doing it the way YOU want to!
