Here is your chance to build that classic Karmann Ghia Convertible . Yes , this is a factory original convertible Ghia . This Ghia has a lot of potential ! This is a NY state car , so it DOES NOT have a title . The above description states title is " Clear " , however NY state does not issue titles to vehicles over 25 years old . This Ghia has a current NY registration , many New England states do not issue titles for antiques . These states use the registration to transfer ownership . The registration has an area for transfer of ownership to the new owner . This Ghia's registration is ready to be transferred to the winning buyer upon full payment . A bill of sale will be included . If you have any questions on this please contact me or your local DMV . Now back to the Ghia : This car is a project car and will need a restoration . The nose looks to have never been hit Both front fenders look to be original to the car Original color on this Ghia was Yellow Side moldings and torsion holes are not filled in Battery area looks solid , as does the rear parcel area Vin tag on right side of body is present & matches the Vin # on the tunnel and the NY RegistrationDoors do not sag , line up well with the body lines and close well Bottom of both doors look to be in great shape as seen in photosLeft & Right Door glass is present , windshield is not Tops of front fenders / headlight areas do not appear to have the 1/4" of filler often seen on other GhiasIt is currently NOT running , however the engine is not seized . I do not know if the milage is original but the engine number shows this could be the original engine to this Ghia Floor pans have been patched , not replaced and will need some attention Deck lid has some rust bubbles but I've seen much worse Has a rust hole under left bottom corner of windshield and a some small holes in spare tire area Many parts are missing , if you do not see it , it does not come with the car.Source the parts at VW shows , Ebay , The Samba or buy a Ghia Coupe for 500 bucks !
