Vehicle Detail
You are buying a 1973 Dodge Challenger 318, bucket seat, console automatic transmission, power disc brakes, power steering. Steve's Musclecars & Parts, Inc, 479-632-0011 Office 479-430-4886 cell This car has been sitting since 1982 when the original owner bought a new car and quit driving it. This is an Oklahoma car and has not been in the Northern road salt. The under body is clean and the rails, torsion bar crossmember and basic structure of the car are very solid. The rear shock crossmember must have broken out at once time as a home made repair was done with angle iron and the rear rails had some angle iron welded to them for support. The rails are not rusted out and removing this and installing a new shock cross member should be no issue. The rust is pretty much confined to the trunk floor, rear window filler panel, rear floor footwells, one small place on the left rocker (from a mouse nest), a couple small places on the bottoms of the fenders and the front edge of the hood and rear lip of the trunk lid. Most of the rust places are from mouse nests and not road salt. The driver side quarter will need replaced as there is some bondo from an old repair but the passenger side quarter is straight and will only need a lower patch panel. There is a dent in the passenger side door (that is very repairable) but the rest of the car is very straight. The engine compartment is pretty much untouched and the car still has the original hoses and hose clamps. The interior has the original seats, door panels, dash, headliner, console, etc. The engine turns over fine but I have not tried to start it as it has been sitting so long. The car rolls and steers fine and the tires hold air. The grille and grille header are in excellent condition as well as the tail lights. All stainless trim is excellent and has never been off the car. I have a clear Oklahoma title and also 2 build sheets. Payment in full is required within 5 business days of purchase but the car can sit here for a reasonable time until transport can be arranged. I would highly recommend any interested parties to call me if there are any questions.
