New Page 1 For sale we have a 1980 Mercedes 450SL convertible. The car comes with a hard top and a convertible top. The convertible top is the original top in good condition. No rips and the rear window is clear but there is some wear only on the inside of it. The front carpeting is the original and in good condition (see pictures). The spare tire is the original one, it is brand new and it was never on the ground. The engine and transmission is in perfect condition and powerful. There is no oil consumption or any oil leaks of any kind. The car is very dependable and it starts the minute you touch the key and it never hesitates or stalls out. We rarely use the car anymore as we got older. We probably drive it about 400 to 500 miles per year but we keep it registered and insured. A new buyer can use the car as a daily driver. Brakes were done a couple of years ago and 4 new Michelins were installed. The tires are still practically new because we do not drive the car often. The heating and A/C stopped working last year but we never fixed it because here in Florida we need no heat and we always drive the car with the top down and the same way comes in and out of the garage. The seats and interior is good (see pictures). The body is solid but there is a few small bubbles in the paint, mostly in the trunk, not really visible in the pictures but they are there. We do have the original manual and service books with the car. The car is offered in AS IS condition but we ask anyone interested to physically check it and drive it.
