Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2000 F550 4x4 Lariat Crew Cab with a 7.3L diesel (59,800 miles) and automatic transmission (R4100). I ordered this truck in spring of 2000 from the factory when I lived in TX. It was ordered with every option available as I was going to keep it for a long time. That included dual alternators, Lariat package, 4.88 gears, manual transfer case. I have used it to tow some (horses, hay, equipment), but mostly I have used it as an opportunity to build up a solid working truck. I have had the truck has lived in TX, MT, and for the last 5 years in NM. I am selling the truck as it has had a total of 500 miles on it over the last few years and it is ready to go to someone who can appreciate the build and use it. Here is a list of items I did to the vehicle: OEM Products after arrival in May of 2000: 1. FORD Dimming rear view mirror, with compass and temp 2. FORD Auxiliary Idle control 3. FORD key pad entry 4. FORD Excursion center console After-Market Products 5. Husky Mats 6. Tinted Windows. 7. Banks Power Pack -intercooler, updated waste gate, exhaust, quick turbo, gauges, air filter, exhaust 8. Shift-kit for the R4100, (shifts firm) 9. MagHytech Transmission pan (synthetic oil-RedLine) 10. Detroit Locker for the Dana 150 rear end (4.88) 11. Boss Snow Plow hitch (used in MT to clear drive way-sold the plow before I left, but kept everything on the truck) 12. Banks Exhaust Brake 13. Pro-Comp Lift Components drop down brackets with Rancho Steering Stabilizer 14. Customer rear and front springs built for the truck (Rugged) 15. Rancho RS9000 shocks front and rear (duals in the front) 16. 22.5" Hub Conversions with 4 Alcoa rims and 2 Steel with Bridgestone 225/70R22.5 (Tires will last 200k on this truck) I first built a bed for this truck as it came without. The bed is made out of 4"x8" beams front and rear and the subsection is 3" x 3" 1/4" tubing all diamond plate. The paint on it is 15 years old and has been through winters and lots of sun. Interior of the truck in super clean, I have kept mats and seat covers in the truck and it is always kept clean. Overall the truck always a head turner and get's a lot of attention. The locker in the rear makes getting around off the pavement easy and rarely do I ever need 4 wheel drive. The truck pulls and drives great, as I said I built this up over the years and always put the best into it. The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if I get the right offer. This truck is not for everyone, but for the right person it has everything you want in a truck. Truck is sold as is with no warranty. Please let me know if you have any questions. Truck is located off I-25 just north of El Paso Tx On Jan-23-15 at 13:38:07 PST, seller added the following information: 1. Note: Tires are 255/70R22.5 not 225. 2. Switch on the steering column is for the power set up, switching between plow lights and truck lights. Note all plow set up is still on truck, including controller for a Boss Plow. Only the plow is missing. 3. Height of bed at rear of truck from the ground is 48". Height of the bottom of the passenger and driver door is 27". 4. With the 4.88 rear end and stock tires (225/70R19.5) the speed of the vehicle in 4th gear at 1500 rpm's was 40.5 mph, 2000 rpm's was 54 mph, 2500 rpm's was 67.5 mph With the 4.88 rear end and semi tires and rims (255/70R22.5) the speed of the vehicle in 4th gear at 1500 rpm is 47 mph, 2000 rpm's is 63 mph, 2500 rpms is 78.5 mph (Essentially the stock tire was a 31.5" tire and the tire on it now is 36.5" tire, hence you see about 15-16% increase in speed based the trucks speedometer) 5. Fuel fill is located in the flat bed part of the bed. 6. Front springs were built with the consideration of the heavy bed and plow on the truck. These are heavy springs. The truck rides with better manners when it has weight on it. 7. Goose-neck hitch is hidden below hatch on bed and includes trailer wiring to hitch and back of bed.
