Vehicle Detail
I have a 1957 Ford Skyliner Fairlane 500 Retractable Hardtop Convertible 'Barn Find'. This car is a Project car or an excellent Parts car. This car was produced with 292ci. 2 Bar engine with an automatic transmission from the factory. The VIN tag on this car says that it started life with an automatic transmission but it now has a factory Ford 3sp transmission in it (and it looks like that transmission has been in this car for years and years). The 3sp trans is all hooked up with swing pedals, Z bar, linkage etc, etc ..... The rear end according to the VIN tag is a 3.56 ratio rear end ( I have not verified the ratio but it looks like the original rearend). The drivetran looks to be complete. The car does not run as it has been sitting for a number of years. The motor looks clean and very complete including air cleaner, orig radiator, power steering, orig 2bar. carb. etc...... I have not tried to turn the motor over. The car was originally Cumberland Green with a White painted top and Green interior. This car is about 95% complete. The frame has some rust on it but is still solid enough to hold up the car. The body has rust in it and is going to need rust repair in the lower trunk area, lower quarters and rear floor boards. As far as I can tell this car has all of the Power Top mechanism, limit switches and motor's still in it. This car rolls easy and would be easy to load onto a trailer for transport. There are a few pieces missing like the rear window, one quarter window and one vent window and a few of the exterior chrome pieces are missing. This car has a clear and open Michigan title with it. You could fix this car or use it for its valuable parts for another car. Check out the prices of these cars in the NADA or on Ebay for the parts. This car is easily worth what I'm asking for it just in parts alone. If you have any questions you can call and I'll try to answer them as best as I can - (eight one three) - seven three two - six zero six eight.
