*****************************Please read entire listing BEFORE placing bid!! ************************************ Nice 2008 Toyota Corolla CE for sale, 96K on it, very clean well maintained car. We bought this car in 2011 with 29,362 miles on it and planned to keep it for a long time but, there has been a melt-down of some sort in the number 4 cylinder and it will not fire anymore. I installed new plugs and it turns out there is no compression in that cylinder, I've been told it could be as simple as a melted ring or a stuck valve. Whatever it may be my wife has no trust in the car now so I put her in a new one. We just replaced the battery, recently replaced brake pads and rotors along with a set of Firestone tires, tinted windows and always serviced the fluids and filters. I have found replacement engines here on Ebay for $1000.00 and know a very reputable mechanic in Fruitland Park that will swap motors for $500.00. This could be a VERY good deal for someone in the know-how, the car cranks right up and runs/drives (on three cylinders) so you can check out all the other functions, transmission, brakes, A/C, etc. I included pictures of the plugs removed from the motor and you can clearly see the forth one has melted. This car has always ran perfect with no issues until now. Feel free to see and test drive the car before bidding. Really no use in asking me a bunch of technical questions about the motor issue because I won't know the answer, we did take it to our mechanic and he said by the time we pay him to have the head removed and figure out the problem it would be cheaper to just replace the motor.
