For sale is vintage factory built ice cream truck 1973 Chevrolet P20 (Built by International Mobile for Chevy) with Nelson 4 bay cold plate freezer. The trucks runs well and doesn't have any major issues but the freezer needs to be recharged with Freon. It has current registrations and insurance, so you're welcome to come and test drive it anytime, it's located in downtown Atlanta on Walker St. The truck attracts lots of attention everywhere it goes. And is much more desired by customers for special events versus the regular ice cream vans. I have been getting many requests to use it for movies, photo and video shoots, which is a good additional source of revenue besides ice creams sales.I have purchased the truck from Massachusetts 2 years ago and have done extensive repairs since then. You can see the list of parts and services below, I've spent over $3000 for all the parts and labor. The truck has rust to be expected from the vehicle this age that spent most of his life up north. I have been in ice cream business for 14 years and have seen tens of P20s, none of them are rust free as all of them started their service life in the northern states.The engine runs well and the transmission shifts in all gears. The engine is inline 6, 4.8L and the transmission 3 speed auto "on the tree". VIN number for the truck is CPT253V310752 and I do not have a title for it. The title is not required in Georgia for the vehicle this age. I do have registration for it and the police report stating that the vehicle has NOT been stolen (which was required to obtain the registration). I will sign a Bill of Sale upon purchase.The cold plate freezer is the biggest there is Nelson 3 compartment for ice cream with additional cooler compartment for drinks. Such freezer is over $10k on Nelson website http://www.cnelson.com/files/documents/Dealer_Price_list_115_2013.pdf and would set you back several thousand even in used condition. The truck does not have power steering (was not equipped from factory). Most of the gauges doesn't work, I just use the speedo app on my phone for the speedometer. And I've had installed engine temperature and oil pressure gauges to monitor engine performance. I have 3 sets of keys for the truck. All of the lights and turn signals work. Windshield wipers work, but need to be affixed at the top of the rack, where they're broken off. The tires are in good shape, with plenty of tread left and no leaks. It has a set of Chevy wheel hubs. The parts for the truck are not hard to find, as they share the parts with many common Chevy models of the time.I have glass window and the seal for the driver door which will be included with the purchase, but I'm currently using the removable Lexan plastic glass, because having window out, creates a nice breeze on the hot summer days. There is no AC or heat on the truck. There is no driver door - it has never been equipped with one. You get in and out through the passenger door. It has Nichols music box with different tunes and two Pyle 50 watts speakers - one on each side. Included with the truck is black Garmin widescreen GPS unit. It has quality 3M safety and informational decals on all sides, that don't fade away easy. There are 2 sets of ice cream menu stickers: outside as well as the side on the cold plate freezer. It has round opening for trash on the passenger door. It has a stainless steel windowsill by the serving window. The serving window has 2 positions - you can open a small opening or the whole window at once.
