Desirable options like the 289 4 Barrel engine with Power Brakes & Steering made this car an easy driver. The Decor Interior & Air Conditioning made it comfortable in sunny Encino, California.Since its debut there in November of 1966, it has seen some use obviously. Prior to the front end damage you now see a restoration had been started. It is reported (we did not receive any receipts) that the engine, transmission and many steering components had been rebuilt. They all work excellent and it all points to these items having been rebuilt. Many thousands of dollars were reported to have been spent only to have the car damaged by an unauthorized young driver.In the accident obviously the front end received some damage. Please see the photos as it appears that only the front sheet metal components will need to be replaced. The hood, aprons and frame rails appear to have been spared any serious damage. There is one dent on the trunk lid that is repairable. Please check out the photos, this car deserves a restoration quality repaint. The body is quite solid with nice floors, frame rails and torque boxes. It really is an excellent platform for a restoration.Inside the factory Deluxe interior has seen some recent restoration work including new seat upholstery and carpet. The Decor trim is in place including the Overhead Console & Bucket Seat Trim and really sets this interior apart from the standard interior.The 289 4 Barrel engine runs excellent and gives every indication of the reported rebuild. The power is quite impressive for 289 Cubic Inches. The Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold not only lightens up the car but adds critical horsepower throughout the rpm range. The MSD ignition system with a Billet Distributor and a Capacitive Discharge box are both high dollar items that make this a much more efficient performer. The Automatic Transmission works very well with a quick engagement and proper shifts.The Power Front Disc Brakes work properly and are a HUGE advantage over the common drums. You will appreciate these every time a quick & straight stop is required.The Air Conditioning is a rare & desirable option. The factory pump was removed to be rebuilt and lost. The hard to find dash components appear to all be there. Vintage Air offers a modern pump system that works with the original under dash components for a seamless and easy install.The 14" Styled Steel Wheels are an added option that looks great and add to the vintage look.
