Vehicle Detail
You are buying a 1968 Plymouth GTX project car. Steve's Musclecars & Parts, Inc. 479-632-0011 office 479-430-4886 cell This car has been sitting for at least 35 years and will need restored. This is a Southern car that has not been driven in the road salt. The basic substructure of the car is super solid and all frame rails, torsion bar crossmember, firewall, cowling, rockers and roof are excellent. The inner fenders are solid and will only need a small patch under the battery tray. The trunk lid has a little rust on the lower edge but is very repairable. The driver side rear door jamb will need replaced (someone cut out the striker post) but I have a perfect original that will go with the car. The hood has some rust on the front lip and will need repair but the trim bezels are very nice. The car will need both quarter panels, trunk floor and some patchwork on the driver side floorpans. The fenders will need a little work but are very repairable. The MATCHING NUMBERS SHORT BLOCK is still in the car. It looks like it spun a rod bearing and someone pulled the heads and oil pan years ago and never did anything else. The transmission is not numbers matching but is a correct big block 727 torqueflite. This is a fairly complete car only missing the rear seat bottom, steering column and gearbox, grille, front bumper, radiator, differential 3rd member and the items removed from the engine. The car only shows 63,000 miles and I am sure this is correct by looking at the brake and gas pedal pads. The original bucket seats, console, shifter and all linkage, headliner bows, interior trim all look very nice. All the exterior windshield, roof rail and rear window trim look excellent. All the glass looks great except for the windshield will need replaced. The super hard to find 1968 GTX ONLY dash woodgrain trim and 150 MPH speedometer look GREAT. I have a 1968 driver side fender and door that will be included with the car. I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE but will provide a Notarized Bill of Sale to the buyer. I would ask any interested parties to call me at the numbers provided and I will discuss this car more in depth. A 500.00 deposit is required at the time of purchase and payment in full must be made within 7 business days but I can store the car for a short time until transport is arranged.
