Vehicle Detail

This 1946 Ford 1/2 ton pickup was found tucked away in a barn in northern New Hampshire. Last registered in 1985. I had a mechanic get it drivable so I could drive it home and work on the body. Here is a list of what he did to it: all new brakes, master cylinder, wheel cylinders brake lines and brake shoes. He took out and cleaned the gas tank and put new fuel lines, serviced the fuel pump, settling bowl and rebuilt the Model 97 carburetor (new kit), new spark plugs, wires, new crab style distributor cap and contact set (points), he pulled the radiator and soldered two leaks, put on all new radiator hoses and built new radiator pipes (see pictures). He installed new exhaust pipes (he custom makes them). It had been converted to 12 volt years ago before I bought it. I bought it in 2007. He changed the oil, we gassed it up and I drove home about a mile and a half. It drove well, shifted great and the engine is really smooth with no knock, pings or any other scary sounds. I didn't smoke at all when running and idled smoothly. It did not wander even with 40-50 year old tires on it! I started it up and moved it around the yard off and on after that. I have two vintage running boards in solid condition for replacement and a rear passenger fender that is solid but needs some repair. The seat is original and have been nicely reupholstered before I got the truck. I fogged the engine two years ago, covered the engine and came to the realization that I'm never going to get around to finishing it. It is complete but needs extensive body work. Please review the pictures in detail. I am not a mechanic and I told you what I know about the truck. It looks to be original and restorable but I am selling it as is, as found. I have some extra parts for it. I have another hood for it with a small ding in it. The tires are wicked old Sears and Roebuck dry rot tires from the sixties that still hold air. I drove home on them! Someone who is a welder or body man can have a nice original vintage 46. It pre-dates the title laws in NH. I have Bills of Sale from the previous owners and I will issue a notarized Bill of Sale to the buyer. I can not find a VIN anywhere on the truck including the frame and the glove box door. Your state will have to issue a VIN if you want to title it. I'll answer whatever questions I can. Pick up locally or buyer arranges for transport and pays the cost.
