Description NO RESERVE!! This is a No Reserve auction for a 1976 Honda CR250M. I just bought it from the original owner who bought it new in 1976, he is from Helena, MT. The bike was stored indoors when not in use. The vin# is CR250M-3002764 and the engine number is- CR250ME-3002716. The manufacture date is 8/75. I just cleaned out the carburetor and the petcock, set the points, installed new fuel line and spark plug and changed the transmission oil. The bike fired right up and ran good and shifted through all of the gears good. This bike is in good original condition. This Motorcycle has the original pipe, with no dings in it and still some of the original paint on it, the silencer is missing. The seat cover is ripped up but still original, the seat pan and the foam are in very good condition. This bike has the original paint on the frame, gas tank, pipe and engine. The swing arm looks to have been painted red and does not look original (maybe from a 1975 model or some kind of aftermarket? not sure?) Both side panels are still there, the Left side panel is almost perfect with no cracks or breaks, The right side panel has a small chip missing from the front lower corner. The gas tank is aluminum and original with 4 dings in it and several scratches. The front fender is in good condition and the rear fender is cracked down the middle. I have inspected the frame very close and did not find any bends, breaks or repairs. When I was looking at the points i did notice the engine case has been repaired forward of the sprocket area but it looks like a good job was done. I was also told the engine has had two sets of rings in its life. Both were replaced with standard bore. The bike has decent tires, the front wheel is very straight and the rim looks very nice, the rear rim is straight as well but does have heavy scratches on the outside area(probably from tire spoons changing tires). Both front and rear wheal hubs are in good condition. All of the stock air box pieces are intact and in very good condition. The air filter needs to be replaced, it is very brittle. The number plate on the front may not be original. All levers, perches, cables and brake are all in very good working order. The handlebars have a slight bend in them. The kill switch is still intact and works. The shift lever and the brake pedal are in good condition and are not bent. The left foot peg is in very nice straight condition and the right one is very slightly bent. This bike still has the original kickstand and all hardware in very nice condition. The forks are very straight, the chrome on the uppers is very nice and the lowers are slightly pitted. There is no rust on the bike. The chain and sprockets are in good shape, the suspension is nice, but the swing arm bushings are loose. I do not have a title for the bike, the original owner never titled it because he was just racing it. If you have any other questions feel free to call Justin at 406-581-8765.
