Vehicle Detail

1957 Chevrolet Corvette Factory Fuel Injected Automatic. EXTREMLY RARE CAR 1 OF 102 AUTOMATIC FUELIE'S BUILT and then break it down with the color (Aztec Bronze was the rarest color in 1957) its 1 of only a hand full every produced! (Id bet there were less than 10 cars produced like this one). This is a 100% Real Deal Factory Fuel Injected Corvette with its BORN WITH ORIGINAL FACTORY 283/250hp "FK" CODE ENGINE. Sometime early in the cars life it was converted to a 4 speed by the original owner I believe the transmission is dated 1960. I do however have an original 1957 Corvette only 2 speed transmission with correct tail shaft that will go with the car if you ever wanted to change it back. The car has had 3 owners with myself being the 4th. My wife's uncle bought this car from the original owner in Minneapolis, MN in 1969 upon returning from serving our Country. He paid $2500 for it back then and sold the car in 1973 for $2500 and a new Ford Station Wagon to Bud "Root Beer" Johnson of Austin, MN. Mr. Johnson owned the local A&W Root Beer stand and was a avid car collector with approx. 70 cars in his collection. Mr. Johnson kept the car almost 40 years until his passing a couple years ago and I bought the car back at the estate sale this spring. Knowing the history of the car and that it was indeed a real Fuel Injected car with its original motor and having a family connection I had to have it. I myself am a avid car collector myself but this really doesn't fit into my collection I'm more into late 60's early 70's Muscle Cars and that is the reason I'm selling it. To me the car is very cool anyone can restore a car and make it look perfect but to me this car has way more character than some of the rotisserie restored trailer queens I have. It was repainted once to it's original color of Aztec Bronze in the mid to late 60's (the paint still looks good for its age). The car is a NO HIT Body with 53,xxx Actual Miles. The Chrome is decent there is some pitting on the tail light bezels and couple small rust spots on the bumper guards. The glass looks to be all original but the front windshield does have a crack in it. I would just leave it alone its not bad and its still the original windshield so I didn't want to mess with it. It has both tops the soft top is white. Interior is all original except for seat covers and carpet which I recently replaced with Al Knoch correct reproductions. Car still retains its original weather stripping which is also in good condition. Interior is very nice and has an original Wonderbar Radio Under the hood is original and basically untouched except for distributor and spark plug shielding and new fuel filter which I put on.. The originals were nowhere to be found and Im sure got tossed long ago. I'm sure some hoses and other maintenance items were replaced over the years but the car still has its Correct Original Block, Heads and Fuel Injection Unit etc..and the engine compartment has never been restored. Trunk has original Mat and Board and Original jack. Underside is original, frame is super clean this car has always been well maintained and rarely driven over the last 40 years. Car has always been stored indoors and well taken care of. The car runs and drives very well. This is a rare chance to buy a REAL DEAL FUEL INJECTED 1957 Corvette with history this is a no B.S. car unlike 95% of the fake stuff floating around out there. I think you would have to look forever to find a comparable car and you still might end up empty handed. Would be a great car to show and drive and enjoy as is or would make a great candidate for a high point restoration. **I have received a lot of emails and calls already about numbers so I'm just going to list them below.. Again this car is a no B.S. car it has its original factory stamped engine that it came with from the factory it is a 100% REAL FUELIE car. The fit of the car is incredible because its never been messed with you'll never see a restored car fit as good as this one, it appears to still have to original paint in the door jams along with the original weather strips.. and although is was painted in the 60's you'd never guess it by looking at it.. sure its not perfect show quality but its definitely presentable and looks great and shows great for its age. This has always been a well kept car it is very clean!!** VIN NUMBER: E57S103606 (According to the C1 Registry the car was produced April 25th 1957) Block Casting Number: 3731548 Block Casting Date: C 14 7 (March 14th 1957) Block Front Stamp: F405FK (April 5th 1957) Head Casting Numbers: 3740997 Head Casting Dates: Both are Dated A 29 7 (January 29th 1957) Distributor Part Number: 1110905 Distributor Date: 7B18 (February 18th 1957) Fuel Injection Unit Part Number: 7014520 (Used on cars with vin number range E57S102900 to E57S105000) Fuel Injection Serial Number: 1541 I don't want to write a book about the car so if you have questions feel free to give me a call or ask through ebay. My number is 507-208-0191 please only call from 9am to 9pm Central Time and only if your serious about buying the car. This isn't a fire sale and I don't need to sell the car.. I believe I have the car extremely well priced and would love to see it go to a good home with someone who will continue taking great care of it. Id hate to see this car restored by that's up to the new owner. I might entertain a trade if its something that catches my eye. Car is available to look at just about anytime just call to set something up. DO NOT hit the buy it now unless you plan on following through with the purchase! This means: Make sure you have the funds before hand, You have your wife's permission before hand and if you want to inspect the car that you've done it before hand. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE. Car is being sold "as is" "where is" with no warranties expressed or implied. I can help arrange shipping at you expense if needed and I can also help assist shipping over sea's if needed.
