1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR 2 DOOR HARDTOP RESTORATION PROJECT What can you say about the 57 Chevy, only that is one of the most recognizable and desirable cars on the planet. Since it's inception there was never a time that these cars were cold and undesirable from the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's and today they have been red hot since 1957. This must have been some beautiful car in it's day, a top of the line 2 door hardtop V-8 Bel air in Matador red with an india ivory top plus a red black interior WOW! Nowadays everybody is calling every car out there a barn find, this car is a legitimate BARN FIND last titled in 1984 (I have a clear title for it) it has been in a barn for many years and I have the photos posted to prove it. Overall it is not too bad of a restoration project the body is surprisingly solid. The floor pans will need repair in the drivers foot well area and under the back seat. The trunk has some small holes starting. The doors open and close like new on this car even the flippers still work. Somewhere along the line before it was put up they removed the engine and trans, all the chrome and the interior. The engine and trans have disapeared over the years along with the front and rear seat. But it looks like everything else was boxed up and saved inside the car. I see all the exterior trim, the interior trim, bumpers and grill, grill bar and hood bar, taillights and fin chrome, windshield and rear window chrome, even the radio and wiring. If you study the parts photos good you will see it looks like a pretty complete car except for the front and rear seat and engine they are not included with the sale. I do not know what version of the 283 was in it originally but it does have the fuelline on the outside of the frame rail like a fulie or dual quad car would. You will get an extra hood and decklid as shown in the photos. The front and rear windshield are just laying in the channels for the photos, and the front fenders are loosely bolted on. This is an incredible find that was kept out of the elements for years and is ready for a full restoration or hot rod or gasser build. This car is selling for cheap money so don't snooze on this one. When finished it will bring huge money no matter what version you build it in and a 57 Chevy will always have an strong investment potential unlike most cars they are always in demand.
