Vehicle Detail
We purchased this Mustang about 2 years ago for our daughter. We bought it from the original owner. The car lived most of its life in Anchorage, AK. Most recently it spent a few years in CO with the owner’s son. The odometer reads 60,440. I don’t know if is 60K or 160K. The previous owner said it was the lower number. When we bought it, we put on 5 new tires, sand-blasted and repainted the wheels. It has new Pony seat covers, dash pad and door panels. We replaced the stock, one-bowl master cylinder with a two-bowl unit with a power-booster. The brakes are still drums and are in good shape. The radio is a retro-looking AM/FM with an AUX port. The speaker is the stock size, but has left and right inputs, so the sound is pretty good. All of the engine hoses were replaced, the belt too, the radiator was flushed. It has a new battery, battery cables and battery tray. The trunk mat and tire cover are new – matching duffel bag too. Also included but not installed is a new vinyl roof, the package tray and a box with many small parts including rubber plugs and grommets, various trim parts, door hardware, suspension bushings and new wood-grain decals for the dash. It will also come with a car cover. The car does have some rust. Both lower-rear quarter panels will need to be cut out and replaced. The current paint is the correct color, but was not properly applied. There is evidence of previous repair to the right-front QP near the door. The underside has only surface rust. The floorboards are in great shape. The inside-rear of the trunk needs to be replaced. I have included pictures of all of this. The chrome on the bumpers is very good. The interior looks good. The seats, carpet, headliner, kick panels and dash pad are all in great shape – new floor mats too. The dash bezel needs to be re-chromed or replaced. The engine starts and runs fine. It does give a puff of blue smoke on a cold start, so it is burning oil. The trans shifts fine.
