Ok..I have owned this gem for about 8 months anguishing what to do with it.. Having such low milage, a true collector may be inclined to show the car. I am not that person. I drive cars..even my 16 year old drove it and said he was afraid of hurting it..oh well..I am not pressured to sell it..just ambivalent..surely, I paid a lot for it, put time and energy into it and will not lose money..so really..don't call me and offer me something stupid.. The last time this car was on the road was 1993. The only real owner stored it ina heated storage for almost 20 years. When he put it away, he had just changed the fuel pump because it sat so much. Well..it sat again and that was one of the problems when I bought it. I purchased it off a flat bed truck never hearing it run..but when I looked underneath it..it seemed almost perfect..really..no rust..nothing. The calipers looked perfect..it was crazy..so I bought it. Before trying to start it, I know the fuel pump was shot so I got a new one..not toyota, but a $250 one..the name escapes me..anyways, before putting that in..I had my expert mechanic remove the gas tank and I had it professionally cleaned..it really was beautiful inside..but there was gas left in it so I took that out..funny thing is..some young guys I know asked for the gas..put it in thier car and it ran fine.. After having the tank cleaned and new fuel pump put in..and put in a new Toyota battery..it started right up..what a purr...really nice. My only other real concern was the original dry rot tires that I replaced with Michelins. When they replaced the tires..they were amazed how perfect the original rims were/are..perfect. I had them hand tighten and remove the perfect lugs...really amazing! I also had it detailed..not because of dirt, but just because..there are absolutely no odd smells..almost still smells new..really..this car is awsome. The only bad is on the front drivers door and this was the real reason the prior owner sold it..while in storage, they hit the door and put a pretty good dent in it..and some scratches..if you want an almost perfect car..get a replacement door or try paintless dent removal..but the pait will need some care by the dent..I tried to take pictures...oh well...the only flaw. Even the AC which was an $840 option works. I have the original title and there is a lein on it. I do have a lein release letter..but if you wish..I can get it titled in my name and sell it or just keep the original title and trailer it to shows. I have the original window sticker, books, keys, customer care care from Toyota dealer, owners guide and owners manual and holder it all came in. The original owner did get it rust proofed..seeing it was never driven in rain or snow..kind of wish he did not..but it can be cleaned off with work. I did not clean the engine at all..it is as I found it..not sure the proper way of doing that..up to new owner if I find one. I will gladly ship this anywhere in the world..you pay for it all..I will not write up anything less than what it is..I am a registered Rep for an investment company and am highly regulated and will not jeopardize that at all, so no need to ask..it sell or doesnt sell for the price it is... I have great feedback mostly from buying but have sold motorcycles to france and other fun things through the years.. Local pick up only..but if you want it shipped..I will hand the keys to whoever you select to move this car but it must be paid for in full first..This car is not perfect..but really pretty close..there are some small scratches that will not show up on camera...so if you come here..be real..again..I live with integrity... $500 non refundable deposit. If your wife does not want you to have it..really..work it out first...also..have the funds ready to buy..you will not get a loan on this..it is a collector car. If once you come here and there is something I missed..which I do not know what..I will gladly refund the money to you..once you are here..in person.
