This car is already known as a classic, with production stopped for only three years. This car has incredibly low mileage, as it has not reached 67,000 miles. The interior is near perfect, the body even has very few of those inescapable S2000 rock chips. Both the top and the interior great and would grade as a 9/10. All of the tires have more than ½ of their tread left. This black beauty is mostly stock. It does have a K &N air filter, 2002 S2000 OEM door panels (to get the tweeters in the door -- a must have), and is all wired for a sub and amp in the trunk (I put those in my new car - but you are all wired if you want to an amp and sub). Other than that it is all original. The car spent most of its life in Texas, has a clean car fax, has never been in an accident and is truly in incredible shape for an 13 year old car. We have owned six S2000's and this is the nicest one we have had. It is a two-owner car. The car history may show more than that, but that is because the first owner moved several times and registered it in several states. It is equipped with a version of Honda's VTEC system, which can alter both valve timing and valve lift. The VTEC system allows the engine to produce maximum power while still being tractable enough for urban driving. If you need proof of Honda's technological prowess, look no further than the specifications: 240 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 153 pound-feet of torque at 7,500 rpm. It will also spin to speeds that most other engines would choke on -- redline is 8,900 rpm. Talk about fun and fast -- this car has it. After having S2000's as my primary driver for six years, I am finally moving on to a four door car. Don't feel sorry for me, it is a Dodge Charger Super Bee. Do your homework -- on national website and at dealers, the prices for most of the AP1 (2000-2002 model years) with less than 70,000 miles are selling for $15,000 or more.
