1998 BMW R120OCVery nice original condition lady owned with only 21,841 original miles. 1200cc Fuel-Injected Boxer engine,5 speed,classic wire wheels,Brembo brakes(ABS),True-Dual exhaust,flip up passenger seat(for drivers backrest), mini-ape handlebars and nice locking bags. Same model BMW James Bond rides in "Tomorrow Never Dies" Fly in to the the Palm Springs Air Port and I will pick you up free of charge.Ride it home across the country. It is serviced and ready to go now.Below you will find pictures and a link to more pictures and a video of the bike in action.I have been in this same location working on motorcycles since 1976. I have been here as Sam's Cycle Service Inc. and a full time hands on motorcycle sales and service shop since 1982.This is my e-bay store and not my website. I have personally serviced this motorcycle for the second owner for the past 4 years.She bought it from the original owner with 8620 miles on it.She also Had a Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 which I am now selling.She is in her late 60's and with much debate has decided to give up riding.Her bikes mostly sat covered in her garage here in the Palm Springs area. She was here only seasonally so this is whythe miles are still so low. Old fuel sitting in her tank durring storage got to the submurged EFI fuel pump so on July 7- 2011the odometer reading was 21163 I replaced the pump then. The odometer is now 21841 so she only rode it 678 miles with the new pump. I personally replaced the pump, filter, screen, all internal mounting hardware and all hoses inside the tank with all new factory OEM BMW parts. Her bill was $1701.66 and I will include a copy of it for your records.The fuel pump sitting in fuel for over 10 years on these bikes is the one biggest risk you will avoid since it has been replaced.I also replaced the battery in July 2011. Se has kept it on a smart charger and it works like new.April 3rd 2013 I changed the oil and flushed and blead the brakes front and rear.I also did a complete inspection and test rode it myself for over 10 miles.The right side mirror is on order and is included in the sale.The Dunlop D404 tires are in nice condition and have 75% life left in them. This bike runs perfect. We ride it in and out of the shop daily to display in our front lot.Minor complaints: 1. The windshield is missing. The mounting for it is all there but it needs a new windshield. Windshield is available on E-bay OEM for $295.00 2. The exhaust is discolored at the tips and the chrome is not perfect. 3. Smokes at exhaust only when 1st started in morning then clears completly. The smoke is only there the 1st time started in morning and then there is none. I can not get any smoke at all at any other time hot or cold or any RPM. Please watch the video as it shows the exhaust while the engine is reved. This is common with this model and is a rubber valve stem issue. 3. The fork seal covers have some rust. 4. Small crack in the chrome tail light frame where a screw was overtightened. 5. Very low miles, lady owned and well kept. 2. For sale by a very respectable salesman with a 100% positive E-bay score. 3. Clear title with current registration as shown in the pictures. 4. Amazing nice original paint and chrome. The added pinstriping is hand painted by Scotty. 5. The chrome spoked wheels are amazing. The ONLY rust is the fork seal covers as mentioned above. 6. Over $1700.00 spent on new fuel injection pump and hardware instalation. 7. I have seen these Air head BMW motors go over a quarter million miles. 8. The only real weak link is the fuel pump which has been professionally replaced and tested for 678 miles. Please look close at the pictures and watch the video and you will see that this is indeed a rare find in this condition.The original blue paint is in amazing nice condition. Since it has been in th Palm Springs desert area covered indoorsyou will not find other rust.I personally inspected every detail and stake my 100% positive E-bay score reputation on it.I have included a picture of the clear California title.The registration is current through September 2nd 2013.If you are in California then I will also collect the sales tax of 8% plus the registration transfer fee of $15 plus a document preperationcharge of $45. I will give you a temporary registration permit on the spot and your new registration will come to you in the mail.You will not stand in line at the DMV and there will be no surprises.
