As you can see from my feedback I'm a reputable seller and do my best to provide as accurate a description as possible. I like to list anything that requires attention and the positives as well. I've owned this Roadster since the day it was purchased brand new off the lot of Reeves BMW in Tampa, FL in September of 1996. I am the only owner this car has ever had and Reeves BMW has been our exclusive service agent. The Reeves Service Dept. will have complete service records of our meticulous care of this exceptional vehicle over the years. This car drives great, and has been an extremely reliable vehicle that continues to get compliments daily because of the fine lines. We never had small children, so the original interior is still in great condition. Requires attention: 1) The back window has a slight fog to the plastic that convertible tops get over the years. You can see out of it, but cosmetically it should be replaced in the future. (Note: You can purchase a complete new top/window set on Ebay for $250 (and installation takes about 6 hours if you are inclined in that way)...if not, a mechanic typically charges about $350 to install the entire top and window in 6 hours.) 2) There is a slight leak in the top corners of the windows when we get hard rain. I simply put the car in the garage for Florida rainy season, but have been told it is pretty simple to get new weather proofing installed around that seam. 3) The paint has some light scratches as you can see from the photos (all photos were taken this week and are current.) They are hard to see in the photos because you really have to look for them in person as well. But I prefer to remind you that this is a 1997 and although it has been protected by garage storage, there are a few tiny spots from road debris along the hood, as well as a couple of very small smudges on the base of the bumper. 4) Other than that, I have had my mechanic at Reeves BMW fully check it out and he says besides those cosmetic issues it is in good mechanical condition. No leaks, no clutch problems, no engine issues etc. It is due for an oil change that I may do myself if it doesn’t sell right away. The tires are Yokohama and are in great shape, but the brake pads will need replaced within the next 6 months or so. No noise or problems braking, but the light just came on when we did the last service. 5) There is a slight crack in the storage area behind the seat due to an improperly padded beauty queen who rode in the car for a parade. This crack has been repaired and is in a spot one can’t readily view, but if I was purchasing the car, I would want to know about that small cracked area. It does not create a problem with using or locking those back storage areas. Overall this is a beautiful Roadster to drive and gets tons of looks around town. My husband is a big 6’4” guy who not only fits in the car, but had plenty of legroom to drive it when I needed to borrow his truck.
